Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Raven knew she could have explained this way better to anyone else. Yet she was willing to try, if only for his benefit. With a small smile she went up the stairs with him. As he allowed her to enter her bedroom she looked around curiously, finding everything seemed quite normal, except for the object that was wrapped up and sat on her bed. That he had banned her from their room due to her own present was sort of amusing. Eyeing the package for a moment she was pleased to see it wasn't moving. Good. Her husband didn't give her a live present. Not that she thought he would give her some sort of creature that was alive, but she wouldn't put anything past him. Maybe it was alive and now it was dead? Surely he wouldn't give her something silly like that! Looking back to her mate he seemed quite pleased with himself...which wasn't a rare sight. Tobias was always proud of himself. The man was far too prideful. Hell, all the cats were within the Ark. That grin on his face was always nice to see, it was a shame he always hid it, and the grin didn't always last for long. Nodding at his wish that she open his colorful package, she went towards the bed and said 'oomph' when he thrusted the large, heavy bundle into her waiting hands. Moving to the bed she set the package back down on the bed and bearing trying to open it.
She said this teasingly and with a smile as she tore yet another layer of colorful wrapping paper. Tobias always had a way with doing things his way. Blue-grey eyes widened when she noticed that after three layers of wrapping paper she came to clothing. Clothes? What in the world? Muttering softly she discarded the clothes and then got towards the newspaper and colorful wrapping paper again. Shaking her head she continued to work it through, being methodical about it, because she didn't want to accidentally break something. Eventually she would make it to the very end, a wide grin appearing as she pulled the soft blue cashmere scarf with a matching set of gloves and knit hat. This was rather quite an impressive gift to receive from him, because Tobias was not the type to find things that matched, especially clothing. When she did make him wear socks during the winter months he didn't understand he needed to wear a matching pair. Clearly this must have been his other half's doing or at the very least he grabbed these clothes when he was out with Tetradore or one of their packmates. Setting the clothing down she picked up the lid of a saucepan that had fallen on the bed. Puzzled she picked it up to show him, wondering if he meant to give this to her. Apparently he did because as he explained she nodded knowingly.
Did Raven think he was honorable and paid for these gifts? No, absolutely not. The she-wolf would not believe for one second that her mate didn't use a five-finger discount. Looking up at him she held his gaze for a moment, silently daring the man to attempt a lie. Leaning in she gave him a gentle kiss, physically assuring the man that she indeed liked his gifts very much. It was completely thoughtful of him to find some sort of object for her to join in on his play time. Leaning away from him she walked she flicked her hand and allowed one of the clothes he had used to wrap her gift, fly and land gently on his hand, covering his face.
Moving her other hand behind her she flicked it, causing the closet door to open slightly. Knowing what she was looking for she tugged on two colorfully wrapped boxes that she had hidden on a shelf in the back of their closet. Her mate hardly touched the closet so she knew it was a good hiding spot. Allowing the door to shut again she allowed the colorful wrapped boxes to land gently on their shared bed. Grabbing the sweater she gently took it off his head grinning at him and stealing a quick kiss before taking a step back and gesturing towards his gifts. One box was wrapped up with green and red wrapping paper and the other was in blue and silver, with matching ribbon. Taking a step back she allowed her mate to open up whichever he wanted first.
As he opened up the green and red box he would find a bunch of smaller boxers wrapped in similar wrapping paper and ribbon. One box contained that new video game he and Tetradore had an eye on. Another box contained new toy animals, that variety from the different continents. He had an elephant, bear, buffalo, various colorful birds, polar bear, tiger, just to name a few. The other box would contain a very nice black leather jacket. Although he hated wearing clothes she had noticed how he eyed those various leather jackets that they saw some of their patrons wear. Raven wanted to give him the chance to wear his own. Now he had the blue and white box to open up, this time Raven sat on the bed, gesturing for him to join her. Quietly she allowed him to open it up. He would find a black leather book, with silver letting on the cover, with a photo of the two of them on their wedding day. As Tobias traced the silver letters, it would read 'Our Memories' along with their Monogram in script. Once he would open up the book he would find pages with multiple photos in them. There were photos of times before they were married, with each other and the pack hanging out at the Ark. There was a photo of the first Christmas without Tetradore at the charity event. The rest were their engagement photos, wedding photos, honeymoon photos and various shots of their time together this past year. Quietly Raven would explain the gift to him, hoping he would like it. Each page was separate by a colorful blue page with a title stating just what the photos in that section belonged to. If he goes through them he would find one blue page with the text saying 'next chapter' and on this page wouldn't be a photo but small leopard and wolf black painted paw prints walking along the pages. By the words 'next chapter' would be the image of a stork carrying a white cloth in its long beak.
