Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

His Royal Majesty

Dorian Ellington-Aragona

The King of Italy

Dorian had so hardly intended to surprise his companion in quite the fashion in which he did. Indeed, even despite her pleasant, flowery dress and clear state of health amantha seemed near veritably consumed by whatever thoughts had taken up residence within her mind. So much so that she seemed near oblivious to the tendrils of darkness that swirled about her. How very concerned Dorian was for their becoming loose in his home in some fashion. After all, Sebastian and himself had only just repaired the wall to the music room that had been so frightfully damaged by that...thing Brennan and Serafina had allowed into their home. Had Brennan not managed to slay the creature so efficiently Dorian was assured he might have failed to forgive the magical pirate for the very distress that even had caused them all. It was Dorian's soft utterance of her name that seemed to draw Samantha from the quietude of her thoughts, his efforts to step towards her seeming to prompt her figure to jolt in surprise all at once as she spun to face him.

Dorian's soft gesture towards the shadowy darkness that swathed her figure so readily coaxed Samantha's own gaze downward, the young Fae woman seeming equally as surprised by the appearance of that darkness and yet- all at once- those shadows seemed to dissipate. As if her noticing them so coaxed them back to wherever it was they had originated. For several moments still the Monarch was content to eye the floor near warily, as if he feared the re-emergence of that darkness. Sebastian would be nothing short of displeased to learn of rouge....shadows within their home. Especially if they had so originated from Samantha. His husband and his former roommate were so hardly inclined to find pleasure in one another's company at the best of times. It was Samantha's efforts to afford him that curtsy of greeting however that so readily prompted Dorian's silver gaze upward, the Monarch so momentarily taken by surprise at such formality when Samantha had so rarely afforded him such things before. The faintest simper of amusement found its way to his features then, Dorian content to offer his companion a small nod in return before his hand waved lightly.

"You hardly need curtsy Sam, it's quite alright."

A soft chuckle rose from within the depths of his throat and yet how readily that soft swell at his companions stomach could hardly be missed any longer! The sheer feeling of life and too- the golden glow that surrounded the younger Fae were all but unmissable. When had Samantha gotten married? Dorian could so hardly help that frown that found his features as his mind turned over those very things. Had she truly.....not invited him to her wedding? Perhaps it had been one of those terribly modern and yet astoundingly awful ceremonies that had taken place within a court house or at that....Vegas place Sebastian had struggled to explain to him several times over. Dorian's very query of her marriage however seemed to prompt a near sheepish look upon Samantha's features. One that saw Dorian's own frown shift to a look of ready confusion. She was...not married? Was it possible her pregnancy was the result of some sort of....crime? How readily those thoughts turned within the Monarch's mind! Samantha's suggestion that her pregnancy had been a surprise she had planned to share with him, however, so only furthered that confusion. Samantha so seemingly.....pleased with her current state.

How much the modern world had surely changed and yet- despite how staunchly the Fae King so attempted to remind himself of such a thing, that very notion of an unmarried Mother was one he could hardly accept so readily. After all, an unmarried mother in his time had been a woman of distinctly....poor character in most instances. Not to mention her unfortunate child, so born and branded a veritable bastard in a society in which pedigree and breeding meant so much. Whom better to understand the very struggles of such a child then himself? Perhaps the Father of her child was so refusing to marry her? How very much that might say of the character of a man! Yet perhaps too Samantha so hardly knew who the Father was! Heavens but he was assured such a thing as that spoke only poorly of Samantha and surely she had not....would not....carry on with men in such a fashion as that? Would she? Perhaps the Father of her child had passed away in some tragic event before their wedding. That, Dorian was certain, was near preferable, in the very least Samantha's character might still be salvageable. The very notion that he had so failed to speak for several moments as those very thoughts turned within his mind so readily seemed to occur to him then. Dorian so quickly attempted to remove that veritable bafflement from his features as a soft simper returned, the Monarch content to gesture towards the nearest sofa then before he moved to seat himself across from her.

"Of course."

Dorian settled himself within his own chair. That living room, so decorated with those photographs of his and Sebastian's own wedding, along with those family pictures of himself and Sebastian and Matteo and Alexander and Aiden, so added to the very warmth of that space. Those sofas, in turn, were nothing short of wonderfully comfortable. Dorian waited only so long as it took Samantha to settle herself comfortably. A look of concern so found his features once more. That myriad of thoughts and judgements still content to tug at his mind even if he staunchly refused to allow such a look to find his features. After all, perhaps the woman was in some sort of distress. Dorian assured he would be more then willing to assist her. After all, has she not cared for him when he had needed it?

"What is it you wanted to tell me? Are you alright?"
