Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

every king had a story, of ancient glory, sweetly told

There was little, in those precarious moments, that seemed to calm the Fae king in any sense. His own brother's efforts to hold him back from his injured husband only further seemed to see the Monarch flail. Matteo, he knew, was entirely capable of healing Sebastian and yet the sheer distress of his lover, his very soul mate, so being stabbed at all as far more than the Monarch could bear. He had known William to be dangerous, he had sensed it within him and within the multitude of confliction that all but burned within the Hunter's aura and yet he had not truly expected that William might respond this poorly to simply being told no to his ludicrous desire to exist within their home quote without Sebastian and Dorian so having discussed it in depth. Dorian's very warning that he so intended to shove Aiden was met with a clear disbelief by the WereKing- one Dorian was, for the first time in all his life, entirely content to follow through on as he so summoned the energy to press his hands to his brothers chest and shove him roughly backward. Only for Aiden to barely move beneath the impact. How readily Dorian had expected more! Yet, in that all-too heated moment the Monarch was wholly content to turn his outrage towards the agresser himself. William, in that moment, was a far more reachable target as Alexander proceeded to haul him from the room. Aiden was once more forced to attempt to hold Dorian back before, at last, Matteo so declared he might be released.

Aiden had no sooner released him then Dorian near raced across that room to throw his arms about his husband. The Monarch was very near upon the brink of tears as he clung to his husband's figure. Dorian did not, perhaps, regret those commands he had made so much as he was willing to apologise for that veritable mess entirely. After all, he might surely have spoken more candidly had he suspected William might react with such violence! He had, in that moment, let his own emotions so get the better of him. He had not handled William's appearance well. Perhaps none of them had. Dorian's gaze glanced upward then to meet the ardent blue of his husband's own as Sebastian insisted it was hardly his fault- but rather the vampires own. Dorian's head so simply shook in that moment, the Monarch at last uttering those very things he had seen in William's aura in some effort to at least explain his own reaction to the other man. The way in which Sebastian's tongue bruised across his lips was hardly missed and yet, in that moment, Dorian so hardly seemed to observe that distinct display of hunger as he might so normally have. His very query as to whether Sebastian was alright was met with that distinctly British insistence that he was fine. Oh, how Dorian had so come to disdain that very word if only for all it left unsaid!

Dorian's lips parted once more, those words he had been about to utter caught upon his tongue as Sebastian reached out to gently grasp his shoulders- only to push him several steps back. How readily that gesture so seemed to prompt that confusion to blossom upon the Monarch's features! Dorian, for several moments, so merely left blinking toward his husband in surprise. Sebastian had never before pushed him away, surely he did not mean to-. That very realisation of just how hungry his husband was seemed to dawn with the Fae King. That blood loss, after all, had been nothing short of significant. Matteo and Aiden's presence within that room was so seemingly enough to prevent the vampire from...sating that hunger as he might normally have done. Even despite that hunger however, Sebastian seemed nothing if not determined to offer his own explanation as his hands folded behind his back. His lover was decidedly formal in that stance and yet for a moment at least Dorian made no effort to question it as Sebastian insisted he had been aware of William's mental state. Dorian's own features frowned ever so slightly as Sebastian's gaze shifted to look away. His husband's voice, this time, far softer as he suggested he had hoped that with care and time William might recover- and that he had misjudged his friends character and too- what help that royal household might offer him.

"Sebastian, I-"

Dorian's own words were halted once more, his lover's query on just where William had been taken was near dutifully answered by Matteo. The frenchman, in turn, seemed inclined to offer his own advice of sorts- his Father's words not....misguided- before he suggested Aiden and himself take their leave. Matteo moved to step through the doorway with Aiden in tow. The Were Panther, however, paused upon that very threshold only to turn back to Sebastian and insist the Prince need get better friends, his current one was, apparently, shit. How very inclined Dorian might have been to agree and yet, for now at least, the Monarch remained silent, his features nothing short of composed once more before Aiden turned to him with the demand he stop being as asshole.
"Thank you, Aiden."

His sibling was offered a distinctly unimpressed look as he stepped out of that room, the door closed behind him. Dorian, finally, let alone with his husband as his gaze shifted from the vampire to eye that rather...destroyed room before returning to his lover once more as a near heavy sigh left his lips. How utterly terribly this night had gone. Dorian's voice however was nothing if not soft. His accented words so holding a note of tiredness.

"I should not have acted as harshly as I did, Bastian. I should have discussed it with you more fully before I made those decisions. I think though, Mon Cher, that you did not- perhaps you do not- so understand how I feel about having a man who is so clearly in love with you wanting to spend all his time with you inside our very home. I do not doubt you at all, Bastian. My trust in you is implicit- it is simply that I...."

How very distracted Sebastian seemed. Dorian, once more, so inclined to pause before the faintest of frowns found his features once more. The hunger. It would be nothing short of unkind to so expect his husband to discuss such things when that hunger clawed at him so desperately. Dorian moved to shift forward then, closing that distance between them once more before the silver of his gaze met Sebastian's own. His features, this time, softening decidedly. Such a discussion as this was very near pointless if Sebastian could not focus upon it.

"We must talk about this, Bastian- but I think it will be far easier if you have something to eat first."

Dorian's arm so simply lifted then, his wrist offered toward his lover in that clear invitation. This very discussion, after all, would hardly be resolved if Sebastian could think of nothing but the beat of his heart. Ah, but how very used to his lovers vampiric needs Dorian had so become.
