Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The faerie girl truly had given up on questioning the way that the man in front of her looked at her. It was odd, of course, that he felt such strong emotions. They were like flairs of light bursting from him, invading her senses. The more time she spent with him, the more she could pick up on the emotions that the man held, but they were never quite so bright. Usually just dim flashes, ones that were only picked up because she knew him so well. There was something certainly odd about the way he felt now, but the empath girl hardly questioned it. How could she? Not with his hands and lips on her the way that they were. It was only after they'd settled onto the bed did the emotions feel odd, and even more so the way that there seemed to be the lack of them altogether. It was that that caused her to snuggle into his side, her fingers tracing those delicate patterns onto his skin.

It was only the way he said her name that caused her to look up, the voice that spoke to her not one that she could place within the man that she had felt on her body only moments before. There was no care in that voice, none of the lust and adoration that she'd felt before. She had barely managed a tiny, meek 'yes' to him before he spoke again, declaring that she never do something to him again. The girl shifted immediately, half sitting up so she could get a better view of him. "Do... what?" She said quietly, hardly understanding the anxiety and... was that fear? that rolled off the man that laid in her bed. "Aiden, do what to you?" Should she have not slept with him? Not pulled him into bed with her? Was this not a step that they were ready to take? He'd seemed so eager only moments before, so full of want and lust and oh. Oh.

"No," She whispered, more to herself as she sat up entirely, withdrawing her body from his entirely as she pulled the blankets up around her. No, she'd never been able to do that before. She'd never been able to influence emotions. But it seemed lately there was a lot she was able to do that she hadn't been able to do before. But there it was. She knew so decidedly that she had influenced him. His emotions had been so bright, so unlike him. And it had seemed that the stronger that he felt, the stronger that she felt, and the more his emotions responded in turn. There had been warning signs. So many of them that she had ignored because she hadn't thought it possible that she could do something like that. And it had led to them taking their relationship further than they had before, and all of it had happened because she'd let it.

"Aiden I'm..." She began, though promptly she trailed off. What could she say? What was there to say, really? She had done something so decidedly wrong. She'd taken away his ability to decide this for himself, to decide whether or not they would do this. She shook her head. This was not how this night was supposed to go. She was not supposed to take away his right to choose. That... that made her... no. She shook her head, turning to look at him finally in an attempt to convey how confused and scared she was. How sorry she was. "I didn't... I've never been able to... I didn't know that I could..." She shook her head again, as if she could rid the situation by doing so. "I didn't mean to, Aiden. I'm so sorry. I... don't be afraid of me... I didn't... I would never have meant to..."
