South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Beaches just about all look the same to me now. White sand or golden sand, clear water, turquoise water, the bluest of blue water. All hot and miserable if you get too much sun. All overly populated with humans and children humans. Even some with pets. Stupid dogs that poop in the sand and the humans turn away like they didn't see them do it when they know they're supposed to pick it up. Then you watch it get washed away in the waves and wonder why fish are always dying. Humans sure know how to pollute the earth but I guess they have their uses too.

Entertainment amongst them. I watch a couple jogging down the beach, both trying to outdo the other in speed. The man gets too close to the water though and the deep sand has a quicksand effect on his feet, pulling him down to his ankles and making harder to run. He slows down and stats breathing hard while the woman gets ahead. But then he just cheats by leaning forward to pick her up and twirl her around. Too caught up in the romantic moment, she giggles and wraps her arms around him, not catching on until it's too late that he's setting her down even closer to the water and behind him so he can get ahead. Dumbfounded, she laughs and shakes her head while she tries to catch up. Humans, too slow to function sometimes, I swear.

And then you have this guy talking to children by the rocks. They scatter and he stands there for a moment as if puzzled. He doesn't even look to see the wave crashing in until it's too late. I laugh and shake my head as he gets hit head on and now he's soaked, spitting and sputtering like he's about to drown as he finds time to glare at the children as if its their fault he wasn't paying attention. I start walking closer just in case he plans on retaliation but when I get a good look at his ears, I pause, eyes widening. Another fae? Now I guess I'm the puzzled one. I listen to his comment and tilt my head. "Unless the ocean has a sense of humor I wasn't aware of, I don't see a we in this equation, friend." I say as I come to a stop a few feet from him, tilting my own head in amusement as my hazel gaze looks him up and down. A slow lazy smirk pulls at my lips.
