South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. A groundskeepers work was never done when it came to such a large span of territory, dawn to dusk wasn't enough time to tend to everything that needed her attention. Adelina often spent time well into the night tending to the earth she had been given responsibility of. She had only been in this city for about a month and easily found the work of groundskeeper over Hyde Place for it seemed there weren't any other elementals to do it, at least none that had stepped forward to the owner. The sun was just beginning to set, the remaining rays turning the sky above brilliant hues of blue, orange, pink, and purple, casting long shadows along the ground and slowly seeping the warmth from the air. Adelina was grateful she remembered a jacket this time as goose bumps rose along the flesh of her arms, donning the blue jean material over her blue dress, her black lace-up boots stepping with delicate grace along the small dirt path through the park.

With summer here schools were out and children ran amuck throughout the park at all hours of the day; Adelina was discovering she rather disliked children with how they ran through life disregarding everything they came in contact with, uncaring of trampling through the garden beds, ripping branches from the trees, and plowing down animal homes. For all that the world gave them and all that the earth provided to the very air that the breathed, they were oblivious ungrateful little devils. A soft sigh escaped Adelina's lips as she crouched down on the path, her icy blue eyes inspecting a squashed ant hill, the small insects still scuttling around like mad trying to figure out what happened with some carrying their dead brethren around aimlessly. Her fingers extended, gracing the loose earth where the anthill should be, careful not to bother the ants zigzagging around, and slowly the earth began to churn beneath her hand, reforming itself into the home it had been. Adelina moved on after seeing to it that the ants had started to find their home intact again and began dutifully filing in. They were insects and for the most part dumber than a brick outside of basic instincts but they deserved as much care and respect as any other creature on the earth.

Her last stop for the night, as it was every night since it was her favorite place to be, was the garden area. Adelina had requested an addition to their "Eden" which the owner had obliged this morning, a new large strip of dark soil encircling a small fountain and stone bench, bare wooden trellises stuck at regular intervals like skeletons. A smile pulled at her pink lips, hardly able to contain the joy she felt every time she was greeted with a new patch to work on. It was much different than her regular duties of mending broken branches and eroded pathways. It was a pure freedom for her power, a great release of energy that was like a natural high for her. As she lowered herself to the ground the smell of fresh churned soil tickled her nose, causing her body to feel like it was being pulled like a magnet to the earth. Her delicate fingers splayed across the dark matter, feeling every little mineral in the earth jump and vibrate with energy, responding to her lead as she coaxed everything to life. A multitude of new greenery and flowers had been planted, simple seedlings hidden within the ground which leapt to life under Adelina's guidance. It was more a process of forcing the earth's minerals into the plant life, making it grow at a rapid pace until seed turned to sprout and ever slowly onward. The soil around Adelina began to shift as each one peeked to the surface then reached up for the sky, twisting and turning as it was guided in its growth. What would have taken weeks for this area to be lush and sprouting colorful blooms of flowers and shady shrubs would take Adelina only a couple minutes to accomplish.
