South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
Okay well, she was trying to make up for nearly costing him his dinner. But really, at least he still had dinner. That counted for something right?! Here she was still appleless. The woes! The horrors! The tongue licks! Forgiveness? Pwease?! She was hardly oblivious to the way his nose so seemed to wrinkle, her own ears drooping ever so slightly at his reaction. What, were her kisses not good enough?! A nearly pathetic squeak left the young girl's parted lips as he so sighed at her, clearly entirely unsure of what to do with her. Frankly, she understood the sentiment - she was unsure of what to do with him!! She hardly expected to be lifted further in the air, however, much less to find her perch on his shoulders! What did he think she was?! A cat?! Still, her claws immediately dug into the fabric of his clothing, attempting to find some sort of purchase to keep her balance as he moved to stand. Her own tail twitched as it curled around his shoulders and yet, Abigail hardly made a move to leave him, even if she now had the freedom to do so. After all, she hardly had an idea how to get home from here and there was always the chance that maybe he'd go back to where that apple tree was. Maybe?

Her head tilted once again to the side as she listened to him, her ears perking at the sheer notion of eating. Food? There was food? She wanted food! Yes yes, let's go back to this topic of food! Food please! The girl chirped eagerly at him, her own thoughts still dwelling upon that lack of fruit that had so dragged her out here in the first place. Look at how astray her evening was going! All she had wanted was an APPLE. Huff. Still, the young woman remained where she was as the man moved forward towards the rather unfortunate hanging fellow. Helllooo up thereeee! Her head tilted allllll the way to the side, clearly trying to be as upside down as he was though for what reason remained to be seen. Unfortunately, her antics were short lived before she was given a worn leather wallet. Hold? Um...well...see....this this things about...thumbs...and well, she kind of....lacked them. Err...hold. Fine, fine, if you insist. Her mouth opened, her small but still sharp canines biting down on the leather with a look of discontent. This leather did not taste good. It tasted sweaty....and linty. Merrrrrr.

That brush of fabric against her back so pulled her attention as the man's hood dropped, providing the young girl with a glimpse of his profile. Okay, okay, so he was....handsome. Fine. She admitted it. But handsomeness wasn't going to get him anywhere! Or...her really....still, that part of his lips so greatly intrigued her as the girl eyed those sharpened teeth. They were so....sharpy. Could she poke them? Poke poke poke. Her tail moved as if intending to do just that only to find a head full of hair shoved in her face as Arlo stepped closer towards his victim. The red panda immediately retreated, skurring under that cloth hood to hide herself from that face she found herself suddenly staring at. This was unexpected! She could hear that curious sound that so resonated within her companion's throat, the sound made her inquisitive enough to stick her head out from her new found hiding spot. Oh my god. DID HE BITE THE OTHER ONE?! DIDN'T HIS MOM TEACH HIM YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO BITE YOUR FRIENDS?! This was badddddd. He was bleeding! .....wait a second....was he...drinking it?! Was this...was this okay?!

The little panda remained silent, retreating back into the warmth of the man's hood. Hiding was her best bet. It was what she always did when she didn't know how to handle a situation! For several moments she remained there until the man stepped away from his upside down companion. Her head slowly poked out from under his hood, entirely unprepared for the way his hand reached up to rub at the back of her ear. A soft chirp left her lips as she nuzzled into his hand, that simple touch far more comforting than it should have been considering he was STILL A COMPLETE STRANGER. Her mother would have been so disappointed in her....but he was nice to her...ignoring the fact she'd only known him for like....ten minutes. Her attention perked ever so slightly as he commented on their need to hurry though why, she only had the faintest idea. She watched as the man came crashing to the ground, those threads that tied him upright entirely disappearing only for her companion to turn and run from the confines of the park. Her claws dug deeper into his shoulders, her form tucking itself tightly against his neck in an effort to remain against him and, indeed, not fall from her spot on his shoulders. She so wasn't made for this!

Thankfully, the pair hardly had to run far before the man beneath her began to slow his pace, the pair tucked into the shadows of an alleyway he'd so found. Abigail was more then happy to relinquish the wallet to him, her own tongue sticking out as she tried to get that terrible taste of sweat and wallet and lint out of her mouth. It was ickkyyyy. She shook her head for a moment before her attention turned towards the wallet that he now pilfered through. The girl shifted ever so slightly, moving down the man's shoulder to just the top of his biceps in an ever inquisitive fashion. Her gaze turned towards the coin he suddenly offered her and slowly her nose reached out to so sniff it. Heeyy....she knew what this was. This was a quarter. And not even a shiny one at that. A quarter wasn't going to get her anything! She couldn't get grapes with a quarter. What kind of reward was this?! Did he really think she was that cheap?! A huff left her nose as she turned her head away from the quarter, clearly not accepting this offering, her attention redirected towards the words that left his lips.

Her head tilted to the side as she regarded those foreign words that he so uttered to her. Covens chasing him? What's a coven? Hunters? Why would hunters go after him! They only poached animals! Then again, it wasn't as if she had any friends to tell about him anyways. She'd never had a secret friend before! This was exciting wasn't it?! Her first friend! The girl chirped all too enthusiastically at him, her head immediately finding contact with his jawline as she rubbed against him in the fashion she'd so seen the stray cats do when they were happy. Well, if he wanted to make her a kitty, she could kinda be a kitty right? Here kitty kitty kittyyyy!
