South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Normally the arrival of sundown had Anna in good spirits. Yet, with the springtime it took longer until it got dark enough for vampires to venture out again. This meant that the families that would linger into the early evening hours were long gone due to the late hour sunset. That alone made the small vampire irate as it took away her playthings. Even though some vestige of consciousness remained enough in the girl that she didn't harm any under their teenage years, it didn't meant she wouldn't still scare them for fun either.

Anna took her time tonight to walk the streets of the supernatural city towards the South end. The woods were of no interest to her unless she was playing a game but if she was lucky there may be a few teenagers dwelling in the playground being hoodlums as usual. Perhaps she could get one to dash into the woods for a game of chase. That thought alone was the only silver lining to the girl as her black buckle shoes clicked onto the sidewalk that wound it's way to the playground. It was a clear night so much of the light came from the nearly full moon and stars above that aided the circles of light cast by the tall lamps.

Anna's features twisted into a sour scowl seeing the playground empty. What was she going to do tonight? The child vampire required entertainment or she became very cross indeed. Well it was still early enough in the night that she could linger for a bit in contemplation. The sand sunk beneath her shoes as she stepped into the play area, slowly making her way to the side where the swings were. They backed up against the jogging path the wound into the landscaped park. Instead of seating herself on the swings like usual though she delicately sat cross-legged in the cool soft sand facing that path and the shadows that clung to it. A peculiar ability had come to her attention that she wanted to explore and practice further. She had to concentrate hard on the shadows, near glaring at them, unsure how this ability truly worked yet. It was ever so subtle in the way the shadows seemed to stir, creeping from their resting place towards the center, creating a larger mass of shadow upon the ground. In her concentration she was hardly aware of her other surroundings.
