South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

You're my water. You're my wine.

Listening to her quietly, he tilts his head as he racks his brain for a place within Sacrosanct that was isolated enough to withhold a storm. He's silent for a moment before his gaze falls back on Emerson, "The forest in the southern part of town would work. If you head far enough in there's a meadow that has a decent amount of room. There's hardly humans out there and animals and were-creatures will tend to steer clear of other magic users," he suggests, "I could show you another time if you would like," he offers though he's unsure if the skittish girl would follow a vampire into the woods alone.

As he takes a step towards her hesitantly, he's pleasantly surprised to see that she doesn't move away from him, or flinch at him. Progress. Pleased, he offers her a small smile before stepping closer to her and offering an arm if she so desired to take it. Always the gentleman. He pauses, giving her ample time for her decide before he takes off down the beach. "Over here we have the beautiful ocean," he waves with an arm in the direction of the water, a boyish grin toying at his features, attempting to lighten the mood.

Chuckling to himself he moves towards the paved path with Emerson in tow as the pass numerous couples beneath the street lamps, "This tends to be a popular place for lovers in the evening," he states, pausing to turn to the ocean as the moon begins to sink over the waves, "For that reason right there," he points with a hand at the full moon setting. The moon looks enormous against the ocean. It was a sight Malek would never tire of. He pauses for a short while, enjoying the easy silence that falls between them before gesturing with a hand, "Shall we? I have about an hour before I must return home," he says, though he doesn't want to rush her through the city of Sacrosanct.

"We won't be able to get through much but I can at least show you where the forest is if you ever want to practice," he gives her a wink before he tugs her along on the pathway veering away from the ocean. "Tell me about yourself, Emerson. Why did you move to Sacrosanct? Why are you so terrified of other supernatural creatures?" he asks casually, his eyes darting down to look at the witch, though he doesn't pause in his stroll.

It doesn't take the two very long to reach the forests edge before he finally halts, "If you follow this trail it will eventually end but there's a deer trail that snakes off to the right, if you take that for about a half a mile you'll reach the meadow I was telling you about," he tells her, a gentle smile tugging at the corner of his lips, "I can't take you tonight, not enough time," he explains apologetically gesturing to the sky, "I wouldn't recommend going alone, you could very easily get lost within that forest and not all supernatural creatures are pleasant," he gives her a warning.

You're my whiskey. From time to time.
