Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

He had misunderstood those notions of pack, it would seem, and the importance those bonds meant to a WereCreature, Dorian's head tilting slightly in the wake off his own comments. The man momentarily afraid he had vexed the woman in some sense even despite that soft smile that lingered upon her lips. It was a curious fashion in which she found herself and yet truly such a situation was not unfamiliar to the man. It was common, after all, for a man to have illegitimate children. At least it had been within his own time. Men were permitted to have pasts where women were not, even those children often born from such unions were easily cast aside by society and the man whom had fathered them when he took his true wife. The world was positively filled with bastard children left unclaimed by their sires. Dorian wholly aware of that in every sense and yet it would seem that the modern world was entirely different in its view of them. The monarch momentarily curious as to why it seemed Raven felt concern for this other woman and her offspring. After all, unless the Father publically claimed them they meant nothing, would not even inherit but a dime! Yet it would seem the Were world, or perhaps the modern world, looked differently upon it.
His features frowned slightly as Raven continued to explain the importance of those bonds and what they truly meant, that pack and the relationships formed within them holding an even greater meaning then he had first anticipated. His lack of knowledge of the animal world perhaps assuring he understood far less than it would appear. The need for such close connections lost upon him to an extent and yet as a Fae with so little knowledge of Were's in any sense it was perhaps anticipated as such. Yet, Dorian so made an effort to understand all the same, affording the woman his fullest attention as she went to length to have him understand. These were personal things she shared, delicate matters, the notion of this not lost upon him and as such the man was determined to treat the topic with the utmost respect even if he did not fully comprehend it.
"I believe I misunderstood the importance of all those in a pack."
It was, he supposed, just as she said in that it was like a family. Although in some way perhaps more so. After all, his own family had surely been a family and yet they were desperately disconnected. No love lost between himself and his father and even some of his siblings. His mother too surely having had favourites among her large brood. Family was very much a matter of perspective to his mind. The Monarch assured he had found family with Sebastian in a way he never had with any blood relative in a sense. The idea of that alone seeing a simper tug at his lips before his attention returned to the woman at large as she shook her head softly. Her hands shifted subtly, the cloth of her shirt falling askew to display those scars that crisscrossed her arms, his eyes momentarily lifting upward in surprise and yet for all his curiosity the man was careful to keep those questions to himself. To query a woman upon a physical imperfection would be the utter height of rudeness and completely unacceptable in any society. Dorian assuring his gaze did not so much as cross back to her arms again and yet he could hardly prevent the manner in which he wondered what had so befallen to poor girl to be so marked in such a way. Her words then, perhaps providing some explanation, his head tilted slightly once more at this idea that she was an outcast from her pack for this...feral-ness she seemed to possess. Dorian struggling to picture her as such and yet to be a wolf and out of control was perhaps not an ideal state of mind. His features shifted in concern. In one fashion he could so understand the fear off her family pack for what she might do and yet....to turn her away, to treat her as such, she, a woman, was difficult for the man to perceive. That soft utterance that to be unexpected by one's own blood was a most terrible thing met with his own soft nod.
"I am bastard born and Fae- no part of my family accepted me either. That I understand, I know the shame and pain of that. Yet I cannot say my new family with Sebastian has ever given me that same fear. I am sorry for this struggle and if my words were insensitive before. I apologise, I am from a different time, I did not understand. I am sorry things are as such for you. Yet perhaps you might simply believe in the love of your mate, if nothing else."
He paused once more, Raven continuing then to speak of just how she was in the moments in which she was a wolf and without control or sense, Dorian hardly desiring to picture that creature she painted. That mild-mannered, pleasant woman so far removed from this beast she spoke off. Dorian momentarily contemplating that which he had learned today, the man attempting to consider those words.
"Is there no way you might be cured of this?"
It was a faint hope perhaps and yet it seemed as if perhaps it was a...medical condition in a way, Dorian the very sort of being that was content to find answers to the questions off life. The Fae a wholly optimistic sort of person regardless off the circumstances. His mind inclined to wonder if she could be cured in any sense.
"Are you assured these....lapses of thought are random? Is there not a trigger of sorts?"
