The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The full moon shone brightly overhead as she raced away from Nadya and Frost and further into the depths of the woods. If Nadya wasn't going to hunt with her, then she would hunt for herself. She felt renewed strength spreading in her veins with the help of the moon and she threw her head back as she ran, howling to no one in particular. She didn't care if other weres heard and came to join her. She only wanted to play in the moonlight and feel like a coyote again for once. All the new experiences of being human were exciting and trying all at the same time. Sometimes it was good ot just let loose and be feral again. No more worry about blending in and not drawing attention. Just a coyote out looking for a snack. Of course that would be easier with a pack but she wasn't about to go beg them to help her. Not that Frost could help all that much anyway, being a prey animal and all that. He might be able to run something until it gets tired for her but it's not like he could do any of the real leg work. She would just have to make do on her own. She ran through the forest, weaving through the trees and jumping roots. She was having the time of her life until an all too familiar scent stopped her dead in her tracks. She slammed on the brakes and there he was, stopped and staring at her. Ceasar. His nose twitched and he blinked as if making sure he was really seeing her. He took a hesitant step toward her then stopped. She knew he must be trying to talk her but she couldn't hear him. She was about to ask him to repeat it but then it hit her. He couldn't talk to her because she didn't have a pack bond with him anymore. She was bonded with Frost now. Her heart sank because she realized that since he wasn't a were, they couldn't communicate anymore, not the way they used to. She never really understood the barks and yips unless they were for basic commands that happened repetitively. Communication like this, where she knew it was a complicated conversation, well, that wasn't going to happen through just barks and yips. Her ears folded back and her tail lowered. She went to take a step to him but he curled his lip and snarled, a clear warning not to come closer. So he had figured it out. He knew that she wasn't pack anymore. The betrayal in his eyes cut deep. She didn't realize how close she had become to him and the others until now. He couldn't understand that she wasn't one of them, not really. He could never understand. She smelled foreign to them now, a panther and a horse among other scents on her coat and probably even some human since she had been shifting. She tried to wag her tail but he whimpered and now she saw the hurt reflected in those dark eyes and her eyes suddenly swam with unshed tears. He missed her. He didn't even have to say it. Knowing there was nothing more she could say or do, she turn and fled, something she'd never done before. She could hear the howls of Caesar and the others as he called out to the pack. She was now considered a tresspasser on their territory and he was going to make sure she was run out of it like the traitor she was. It was almost poetic. The tears flew from her eyes as she ran blinded through the dark forest. The moon couldn't filter enough through the trees to light her way and she tripped over a tree root, grunting as she rolled in the dirt and mud. She laid there for a minute, trying to catch her breath and still her racing heart but she could hear them getting closer, sniffing her out. They would jump her as a pack if they found her. For a moment, she thought of letting them. |
