The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Despite the incredibly small number of fleeting moments that seem to pass so effortlessly between the young woman and her afternoon company, already she feels a fondness for the man and his young canine friend. They say that sometimes, one just knows when they meet another soul that will soon touch their life in a way nearly indescribable and certainly unforgettable. While Beylani did not know how much longer this stunning autumn afternoon would last with Dorian, she found herself wondering and hoping that just maybe this would not turn out to be nothing more than a chance encounter never to be repeated but instead something that would last. Maybe even last longer than those relationships she'd built with her classmates that left her behind without so much as a good-bye of backwards glance. Then again, this was also why it was that the blue-eyed blonde struggles against the feelings of abandonment that would occasionally arise in her on those quiet evenings as she would flip through her photo albums full of memories. She'd asked herself so many times what it was that was wrong with her... So many times, she'd tried to figure out why nothing she ever kindled with others outside her family ever seemed to last more than a few weeks or months. She'd been lucky on one or two occasions, having once sustained a close relationship with a girl she'd been friends with since kindergarten and another girl she'd met as a junior in high school. Ashley had been perhaps the closest thing to a sister anyone could have ever asked for. All the birthday parties and the sleepovers, all the boy talk and laughter as they did each other's hair... Beylani missed those days.
Then, when they'd reached high school, everything changed. She watched her nearest and dearest friend slowly become distant. At first, the blue-eyed blonde had tried to blame the fact that they never had classes or lunch together. She wanted to blame the fact that she had allowed for her very first legitimate boyfriend to get in the way between her and the brunette girl that Beylani had always been eager to see on the weekends or after school. None of that really worked, though. Still they had grown distant. They'd grown so distant that all the way through freshman year and into half of junior year it seemed like Ashley had just... vanished. It was in that time, in the absence of her once best friend that Beylani had found another girl who she had sworn she clicked so well with; Shayla. They'd met in Mr. Martin's English glass, having been assigned seats beside one another. A few days passed and after a polite hello and a few curious questions answered finding that they shared many likes and dislikes, they quickly became good friends. She'd been so sure that if she had been able to make her last friendship with Ashley last thirteen years, how could something so natural not last at least as long? They'd text, they'd go out to lunch at the local burger stand, they did a lot together. The strawberry blonde girl had even been there to lend her a supportive shoulder when that relationship with her first boyfriend had ended. Yet much to her dismay, despite having promised each other they would be sure to spend the summer after graduation together, they'd only spent a small number of days together before she too had grown distant. One thing led to another and before she was even aware of the fact that Shayla had moved away, she had gone to stop by her house only to be told by her friend's mother that she'd gone away to college. Without so much as a good-bye? It was hard for the young woman to look back on those days, look back to those photos of bright and carefree smiles with the ones she had been so close to, only to know that she had been forgotten along the way.
He was so charming, the man that she was sharing this beautiful day with. The soft chuckle that hummed from him at her remark of the man that had walked past them so detached from the world around him, the easy smile that danced across his features in a way that just screamed of refinement, the blue-eyed blonde almost felt as though she'd been taken back in time centuries ago where men would offer their arm to the woman in their company and she would take it with a courteous smile and a confused note of laughter as they talked of the weather and how the roses in the garden looked. So taken in the moment about his easy grace so exotic on the masculine sex these days (most seeming to be under the impression that to win the favor of a woman it was all in hiked up trucks or bank accounts just as big which was more than likely the case here in Sacrosanct), had he offered her that arm of his she would likely take it in partly out of enjoyment at his traditional disposition and partly put of respect for the finesse that surely had to come with some sort of wealthy upbringing. He speaks in reply now to his hopes for Maxwell's well-being as an adult and Beylani has little doubt he will not grow to be as mannerly as his master that was beside her now. He speaks in regards to his hometown and she can hear the same fondness in his tenor words as he speaks of that beautiful city in Italy. Someday, she would love to see it in person, but then again there were few places in the world that the young woman wanted to travel to. Another soft chuckle ushers gently from the handsome and kind man at her words and her radiant smile only grows. It should not surprise her that he was modest, and if anything it was a refreshing difference to be with someone that did not seem to think they were the cream of the crop. He reveals to her a place that she never would have thought to exist here and her eyes glitter excitedly."Oh? I had no idea there was such a place here! Is that somewhere in the eastern part of the city? Or perhaps the northern side?", she replies with her ever bright curiosity floating freely across her brightly spoken words. There was still so much about this big city that she had yet to see and learn, but she was most certainly ready to seize every moment she could.
Gently setting Maxwell on all four paws as he rises to his feet, he now presents her with another query. That was yet another matter that she needed to get a handle on. Simply living off the nest egg left behind by her late grandfather and the money that she had saved herself from those small photo sessions commissioned by both family and neighbors alike was not ideal and she moved here prepared to scour the entire city to find a job somewhere. There had to be a couple establishments with openings right? She did have one place in mind that would be the first stop on her list to check out and see if there were any vacancies, even just part time as knew what it was she truly wanted to do with her life."Well, I intend on searching for a place to work. I'm hopeful that I might be able to get on at Inner Sanctum, the little café on the eastern side of the city. If not, I'm sure I can find something like working at the grocery store nearby perhaps or a restaurant - although what I truly want to do in life is become a professional photographer, but I'm sure that's not in my near future. I need to try and make a name for myself first before that becomes a real possibility", she says thoughtfully as they begin their walk towards this track he mentioned - that she'd nearly forgotten in the midst of conversation - and she realizes only now that she'd said so much that perhaps it had been too much. She feels her cheeks grow warm and her smile takes on a somewhat soft and shy demeanor now."I'm sorry, I hope you didn't mind my silly babbling. I tend to think out loud sometimes", she says a little quieter now as she gazes at him from beneath those thick lashes, loose blonde curls brushing across her shoulders in a chilly afternoon breeze. Perhaps it had been her lengthy answer to his simple question that had earned her that look that seemed to linger over her from her walking companion but he apologizes almost equally as shy as her own as he averts his gaze for a moment to look at the path ahead of them before it flickers back to her and he smiles that easy smile again and ushers her name, growing her own that dance across blush-colored lips.
It is when they come across the drinking fountain and there is a sudden change in his collected disposotion that urges her curiosity further about Dorian, baby blues watching him with fascination at his suspicious glances he gave the drinking fountain of concrete and stone. As she moves towards it to show him that it wouldn't come to life and be up in them, she can feel him move closer to her, ushering a quiet phrase of caution. When she presses that button and the stream of water erupts from it, again his entire expression changes to something almost like disappointment and she watches in intrigue as he follows suit, pressing it a few more times following by his spoken observation although what it was that truly stuck out to her the most was his last few words. I don't drink. She tilts her head ever so slightly and she nearly asks him to clarify what he means. Doesn't drink water? Doesn't drink from drinking fountains? She refrains from asking out of fear that she might seem probing and that was the last thing she wanted him to think of her as. So, they continue onward, the fountain seemingly long forgotten as Dorian leads the way through the cool grass. She was surprised at just how large this park was and yet absolutely delighted to know what she would have much to use as samples of her work and aide her in bettering those photography skills she yearned to hone to the fullest. His silken smooth tenors fall into the autumn afternoon and she turns to meet those stormy eyes of his. A suitor? She feels her cheeks grow warm again. Pfft, I wish I did sometimes, she thought to herself."No suitor for me. At least not yet. I've had a couple in the past... but they didn't work out too well. Maybe someday soon I might find someone. I certainly need to visit that place though, perhaps when my parents come to visit me", she replies in pure honesty. It would be nice have someone special in her life - other than Chika of course who would surely be far from delighted at the idea of Beylani strapping on her crimson harness and taking here to a busy market on the docks. Walking her cat in Sacrosanct would surely earn her some curious looks, and she didn't wish to make that sort of name for herself.
