The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.
The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. Arlo James
See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch
It was the perfect web. Well. Relatively speaking. It was a little crooked on one side and maybe lacking a little flare on the other but overall it would do the job. He wasn't a spider after all. He wasn't designed for this. At least...not that actual designing the web part and yet he was mostly sure it would work. That fine, near invisible webbing had been strung between two trees and just off to the side of that main walking track, sheltered amongest the other trees and shrubs that decorated the landscape. Arlo having chosen that location specifically because it would attract other vampires- his own preferred target. That shaded, shadowy spot an almost perfect place for the rest of his kind to lie in wait else bring those victims to drain dry. He simply had to wait for one bold enough. This park had been a veritable hotbed of vampire activity of late, he surely wouldn't even have to wait long, his own hunger gnawing at the pit of his gut as his tongue brushed along the length of his own fangs in simple contemplation of that meal to come. God he hated thinking about it and yet he could hardly help himself. For all he deplored about what he was he couldn't prevent that near predatory delight he took from the idea of that meal.
It was a miracle, really, that he had survived so long in this city as it was. His kind, a vampire that fed on vampires, a Crusnik, whatever they wanted to call him- was hardly a welcomed species. Every other city he had hit having managed to run him out in a few days once the local covens became aware of him. Damn hypocrites the lot of them. Happy to drain the blood of others but not willing to let the same happen to them. Bastards. Most of them anyway. Not all of them. Sebastian and Malek having proven the exception, both of them willingly offering their blood and yet neither of them were available to quench that thirst tonight. Arlo forced to return to his usual hunting methods. The man hardly intending to take long. The sooner he ate the sooner he could go back home. Maybe call Abby. Was it too soon to call? They were just friends right? Was there a calling rule for friends? God he was bad at this.
The sound of someone veering off that path and into those trees saw his own form freeze, Arlo pressing back and into the branches of the tree he had sat himself within, his phone tucked back into his pocket as those bright blue eyes focused on whoever was moving towards his trap below. He could hear that heartbeat. He could smell that blood within their body. That sound so...appealing and yet.....the scent was.....not vampiric. Whoever that was- wasn't a vampire. Arlo glancing down once more at the man who frankly looked....lost. Great. Now he was going to end up with a bloody Warlock in his web and he was either going to have to spend twenty minutes getting him out or getting into an argument with him over it and making do with blood he didn't really want. Was he truly hungry enough to settle for a Warlock? It would do, he supposed and yet it was hardly what he wanted, what he needed.
"HEY!"
That shout echoed readily down from his tree, Arlo disappearing from that branch to reappear several feet in front of the other man now, that black hood pushed from his head to reveal that wealth of near equally black hair as his gaze found the other man now, one hand gesturing to that near invisible web the fellow had been seconds from walking into.
"Can you like, walk around that web? If you get stuck in that you're going to ruin it and I'm going to have to get you out and then wait another half an hour for the right victim- er...I mean.....person to walk into it. Seriously bud, there's a path there, look, path, go over there, ok?"
His hand lifted once more, pointing back to that concrete path a short distance away that the warlock, he presumed, had wandered off. Did people not look not where they were going anymore? Arlo allowing his arms to fold over his chest then, one eye raised expectantly as if fully presuming the other man would do as he was told. Few beings willing to take on a vampire all the same- even if Arlo was far more prone to flight over fight. The Warlock hardly knew that, right? Surely he'd just leave wouldn't he? The longer they stood here the less likely it was another vampire was going to come along and he wasn't going to get a meal tonight.
"I don't mean to rush you here bud, but your killing the vibe. I'm hunting here."
