South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

Raven was all too aware of what it was like to be considered a Monster. For far too long she felt the pure and intense hatred from others. The she-wolf felt as if she deserved to be called such a terrible thing. Of course she didn't mean to harm her own pack. It was never her intention. At least in this mind frame. The young woman was one that hardly strayed from her moral path. Pack was family, and that was everything to a wolf. Even though they were capable of wandering on their own, and sometimes craved for solitude, they felt more inclined to be amongst others. Being alone was not something they could do forever, they needed to be among others. It pained her severely when the members of her own pack berated or attacked her. No matter how she tried to explain it they wouldn't listen. They would simply scream their demands to get better, to stop attacking them, thinking that through cruelty she could be controlled. Sadly though such terrible treatment simply wouldn't work at all. It just made her much worse. Raven was now in a much stable and safer environment. She loved her new pack. She trusted them completely, and she hoped they trusted her. But she knew how sacred that trust was and how easy it was to break. Of course there were times when she went feral, just right before she lost all conscious, she hoped and prayed they would keep others safe, no matter the cost. Every day Raven was terrified on the possibility of going feral, but over time she learned that if it happened she could handle it...maybe enough to get herself somewhere safe or close for her pack to take care of her.

The idea of chasing a rabbit seemed quite like fun. Running was always an activity she enjoyed doing. There was no need to think. There was no need to comprehend anything. Her mind was shut off and her body moved in an automatic fashion. The feel of the wind tearing through her thick fur. The feeling of her grey paws pounding upon the ground, as her muscles snapped, allowing herself to push herself. Her heart thumping out of her chest, echoing in her ears, was just a thrilling feeling. This was when she could actually feel herself being free, of everything. Perhaps this was the feelings birds got when they flew. No wonder they never wanted to leave the sky. It was easy for her to keep her mind focused upon one thing, the rabbit. Trapping the creature into the thicket it was easy to pinpoint the rabbit, blue-grey eyes focused squarely on that bush where she knew the rabbit was shaking, terrified, waiting. Growling she aimed towards the frightened creature excited to capture the fluffy rodent. Pouncing on the small critter she laid down on the ground keeping the creature pinned with her large paws. Her entire focus was on the rabbit, knowing she wasn't to eat it, but also knowing it was hers. When the other she-wolf came forward and spoke there was a change within her mind, a subtle, but noticeable charge in the air. Softly her graveled, low voice whispered sinisterly into Mira's mind.

"But...it's mine. Mineiiiiinnnnneeeeee."

The fur along the back of her neck went up as she kept her focus on the rabbit. This was her rabbit. She caught it. Therefore she did not have to share with others. There was no need to. Mira was not pack. Mira was not hers. Mira was not anyone. This is what her feral mind thought. That other half of her was in control now. Did Mira feel that faint charge in the air? Sometimes that shift was subtle even for Raven to not be aware of it. It was minutes of silence as the oddly colored wolf remained lying on the ground, staring at the rabbit quite intently. Eventually the she-wolf would shake her head as if she was ridding herself of that other half. Blue-grey eyes looked up to see Mira, a look of puzzlement on the lupine's face pondering just what had occurred. She remembered chasing the rabbit and catching it, but everything else she drew a blank. Halfheartedly she moved her paws to allow the rabbit to hop away. Lifting herself up to stand she waved her tail warily uncertain.

"I...um...did I just let your snack runaway?"
