South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

There was just some sort of gratification when it came to seeing nature. Braxton was an admirer of all things nature, seeing as he spent most of his civilian life as a farmer.
Not to mention, the time era he came from. The world was just a lush landscape, and full of animals.
Life was simple back then, and Braxton couldn't help but miss it. He growled a little under his breath at the thought of what the world became as he was stuck having to live through it.
He saw many things he didn't want to see, and it was stuck with him. He was, rather disgusted with this curse.
Yes, Braxton viewed him being forced to turn into a Fae as a curse. He didn't want this life. He wanted to die on the battlefield for his country, or live long enough to see Britain rise to power. But he didn't.
As he pulled a pack of cigarettes from his deep blue leather jacket, he passed a couple on a bench that were clearly in love.
For a moment, he stopped dead in his tracks and looked at the happy couple with a dark, blank stare as he lit his cigarette with his light he pulled from the pocket of his black shirt, that had white specks and made from cotton.
His jeans were just as dark as his shirt, if not, a tinge darker. The cigarette came to life as he felt the smoke enter his throat.

The couple seemed annoyed with Braxton and asked if he could leave them be. He put the lighter away and exhaled a huge cloud of smoke. Braxton could only smirk at them and laugh.
"I was gonna leave after I lit my smoke, git.. Go back to coddling your woman.. She's got a dirty secret that you may want to discuss, though."
Braxton chuckled as he walked down the path and instantly, the happy couple became enraged with one another.
Humans were easy targets for Braxton when it came to his power of Mental Mimicry.
As he kept walking, he caught a scent. It was ever so familiar to him. He wouldn't put out his cigarette just to track it easier, for he just wanted to do it for the taste, and the burn.
This scent though? Why was it so familiar? Why did it cause his heart to race at a quicken pace? He felt his pupils widen and his cheeks flush a tad, and the hairs of his neck stand straight up.
"J-J... Jane? Could that be you my love? Did they turn you into the same thing I am?"
He said allowed as he followed the trail. He wouldn't come off it for one second, as he took a huge drag from his smoke and exhaled a massive cloud that looked like smoke coming from the nostrils of a dragon.
Braxton, was now feeling a ravenous hunger grow in him. A tingle that would give him a small high of sorts.
He felt like a tiger stalking his prey in the woodlands. Waiting for that perfect moment to fall upon his eyes.

His heart was now pounding, and his pulse was keeping pace. He licked his lips in a crazed manner as the scent grew stronger.
"I must.. See you. You can't hide from me darling.. I know where you hide now."
He said aloud, as he found himself venturing deep into the park now.
There was a part of Braxton that felt disgusted, but the majority of his mind was lapping at the idea to see if this truly was Jane, his wife that had been killed in front of him. This would answer his questions once and for all, as he spotted a sedan off on the side.
He watched closely, and stalked in the quietest way he could.
Braxton felt adrenaline enter his veins as he would pull yet another cigarette out, and light it.
The scent was now fully caught and there she was. Flowing, blonde locks and blue eyes that were like sapphires.
His mind was racing now, was this really her? Or was it? As soon as the woman turned around to show her face, he stopped dead in his tracks a few feet from her.
It wasn't Jane at all... This was a human. But she reminded him of Jane... He felt that hunger growl inside him again.
He stood in a smooth pose and took a long drag of his cigarette as he studied every limb, curve and feature of the blonde woman...
"You're quite the box of surprises sweetness..."
He shouted to her in that thick, British accent as he flicked the ash from his smoke on the asphalt path.
