The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Earlier that evening Raven had been content to simply get away from the warehouse and her home, preferring to spend her evening to herself. Already she had warned Tobi that she would be unavailable ignoring his muttered words, not bothered by his disapproval. As much as he claimed she belonged to him, in her natural state that ownership remained invalid. She never submitted. There was no mark on her flesh, but his scent continued to mix and overpower her own. She had been wanting to have a moment of peace alone with her book, if only to let her mind wander and bring herself some quiet entertainment. Sitting in the tree, her tattered book propped open as she read one of her favorite books from the Bronte Sisters. Always they held the tragic heroine and one would assume she would associate herself with these women, but the poor girl didn't have much self-confidence to hold against these particular characters. Yet as the sun began to set she would close her book and stick it in the makeshift hole she had created within the bark. Swinging her legs around and wrapping her arms around the bark, she would shimmy down slowly until her feet reached the terra firma. Sighing softly, blue grey eyes closed as she felt the sun began to set and the full moon slowly start to rise. Twilight. A time of change. For her subspecies it was natural that she would wish to roam the night instead of day, and since she was out...how could she not continue her alone time?
The well-mannered woman was enjoying her nightly stroll through the dimly lit park. Lately she had been attacked numerous times by human and other supernaturals while in her preferred form. For some reason the humans thought of her as a real wolf even though her markings were too bizarre to be considered natural. As for the supernaturals, well, they had their own reasons. Apparently werewolf fur, eye, liver, blood, limb, any body part was a value to warlocks and witches for whatever potion they were trying to create. Some were-creatures would take on strays or loners and force them in their pack, and she had managed to dodge from them keeping her freedom. She had yet to be attacked by a vampire, but she was sure that it would happen, one day. So, for tonight she would roam the park instead of the outskirts, content to simply walk in her vulnerable skin for a while before she would shift into her much favored state.
Along her path she found herself approaching a pond, the sympathy of frogs croaking and crickets chirping reached her ears. As her dirt path neared the pond she would turn and wade through the tall grasses, her hand outstretched to feel the reeds as the fireflies began to circle around her. With a full moon tonight it caused everything to light up, as if it were day. The gentle summer breeze tugged and pulled at her golden-brown curly locks, allowing them to cascade down her shoulders. She had chosen to try and wear one of the blouses that Nadya had picked out for her during their shopping spree, the ebony and crimson fabric a bit tighter to her form than she was used to. But seeing how it attached itself well to her frame and the way Nadya and Alexis looked at her in it, how could she deny the purchase? Bending her head down some, blue-grey eyes focused on the reflection she saw of herself in the pond. The deep grooved scars along her face remained the primal feature to her unique façade, though her focus would shift from her face towards the frogs on the lily pads. Her troubled mind began to travel down on memory lane that she wished she could forget, as she began to feel herself succumb to the pain. First would come that slow dread feeling seeping through her nerves, her skin trembling ever so gently as the pace in her heart quickened. All noise would cease to exist except for the sounds of angered snarls and lowered growls, each one sounding more terrifying than the next. The only scent she could make out was blood, but not just her own, but others. Suddenly she could feel the harsh blows coming from all around, the sharp prodding coming from her sides, the painful hitting along her limbs, the cruel sensations that came when old broken bones would break again. Sighing softly, attempting to make the painful memories and feelings go away, her eyes would close again, attempting to think of something positive until she caught the scent of male and vampire. Nervous, her head would whip around, searching for that familiar outline figure of another human being that was anything, but natural.
I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
