South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

'Cause I'm a little unsteady

Wake up to your dreams
And watch them come true

Although Nadya was entirely sure that the pony Frost pulled to practice on should have been long retired into some green pastures for his own leisure, she followed him dutifully into that ring. All seemed to being going well, despite how nervous she felt about it all, Frost wasn't scolding her about doing anything wrong as she slowly moved to try and replicate putting the saddle on. However, the squeal of the pony from the pinch of the strap as she caught a bit of the flesh of his girth jarred her completely. It was hard to say who jumped more in that moment. Nadya immediately abandoned the task to grip onto Frost. Nope. She was done with that one. How utterly horrible she felt for causing the animal that pain. There was no way she wanted to cause that to Frost by pinching him too.

At least Frost didn't push her on the matter, instead drawing her within his arms to press that soothing kiss to her forehead. It had been a long day already and her nerves already frayed. Yet she needed to do this. That feeling of being incapable in her human form in the forest had nearly destroyed her in the solitude of her earlier shower.

Nadya took a few matching steps backward from her boyfriend as he began to slowly disrobe before letting that shift over take him. She had seen him shift a hundred times...yet hadn't been human in the presence of his were form. Her own feline form was much smaller than his equine, yet for some reason she felt much smaller in her human now. Why were these feelings plaguing her now? She had never felt apprehensive of his form before. The looming form so near now, head extending to bump that muzzle against her. That contact made her wince slightly for reasons unknown to her though she nodded mutely in understanding to what he explained to her.

Slowly she approached the laying stallion and ran her hand delicately along his shoulder up to his mane where she entwined her fingers. It was a bit awkward as she leaned over slightly to swing a leg over him, trying to figure out how best to get on. Perhaps mounting a horse should have been explained too. Nadya managed though to settle upon Frost's back. "Now what?" She needn't wait long for Frost to follow through and begin to stand. This movement she had seen before as he would remain laying down a lot when the twins were exploring in their kitten form. It was much different having that jolting movement beneath her. She hadn't anticipated just how unbalanced it would feel and scrambled to grip his mane tighter and clasp with her legs but it was too late.

Nadya slipped off Frost's back and landed with a thud on her back that knocked the air from her lungs. She groaned softly, blinking several times before rolling over and getting to her feet. "...Not a word." She mumbled, waiting for Frost to lay down again before climbing atop once more. This time she knew how it would feel getting up and had both hands wound in his mane and knees gripping tightly, her body following the movements as first front then back end of the stallion rose. "Just...don't go fast." Nadya whispered softly as she shifted slightly to better position her legs. It was a new feeling, using her legs on his sides in the manner required to stay stable. It felt like she was slipping no matter what.
