Abigail's grin was infectious. She seemed very into the idea of hunting down Malia's friends and pouncing on them. The idea seemed downright hilarious to her as she pictured all her friends' faces. At her cheering voice, Malia yipped again in laughter. When Malia asked about flowers, Abigail grew thoughtful as if trying to remember where there would be a lot of flowers. Malia tilted her head, tail flicking behind her as she waited as patiently as she could. Malia's own gaze moved to follow the butterfly Abigail was watching, seemingly wanting to just follow it and see where it went. Malia was game for that. Who knows what they would find? Malia thought it only polite to ask Abigail if she wanted to ride on her after the butterfly. She had seen Abigail's tiny little legs. Surely she couldn't keep up if she didn't have the trees to climb in. Malia was long legged and lean so she would be able to keep up with ease. Abigail moved toward her and Malia had to tighten her jaw to keep herself from chuckling at her waddling gait. It was just too cute! But as Abigail got to her side, she put her paws on her Malia's side, seemingly stuck. It seemed even though Malia was small, she was still big compared to Abigail. Malia didn't mind lowering herself to her stomach though so Abigail could climb on board. Her skin twitched at the feel of her tiny paws. It was tickling her! She waited as Abigail climbed up, trying to stay as still as possible as the tiny creature settled herself on Malia's back. She knew she wasn't as full and stocky as other species, coyotes being created more lean and lanky. Only when Abigail said she was ready did Malia slowly stand adn roll her shoulders, making sure Abigail was safely anchored before she walked in the direction the butterfly had flown. "Think it'll take us to a whole hive of butterflies? Group? Flutter? What do you even call a whole lot of butterflies?" She scrunched up her nose, her brows furrowed. She'd pause if she thought she lost sight of the butterfly, only to have it flutter back into view from resting on a branch or plant. Her eyes lit up in triumph every time she found the butterfly again, but so far, they'd only seen the one. Her ears flicked back, wanting to keep up conversation with Abigail. Might as well talk while they're tracking, right? "So, Abigail, do you have other Were friends or a pack or something? I have a pack. I was recruited by a horse thing, Frost. You ever seen a horse before? I hadn't until I met Frost. I called him a goat. Still do, sometimes." She smirked, tail flicking in amusement at the memory. |
