South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

His thoughts had been plagued recently by his past. He couldn't stop thinking about Sterling and what all he had to do in order to get back to the man he loved so dearly. He had made a lot of mistakes in his life as far as Sterling went, but he still loved the man and he still wanted the man with all his heart. But ever since he had been turned into a were, his life had been nothing short of complicated. He was still trying to grasp hold of control so he could finally be free. Things were taking a lot longer than he had thought, but he had realized that exercise helped to calm his panther in him. It seemed to keep the beast at bay and for that, Henry was thankful.

He made idle conversation with Roman, the stranger that he had just happened upon. His breath came quickly as his body tried to keep up with the demand. When he had stumbled on the stranger, he was unable to run another step. Henry had never really been a runner, it was just something he had picked up recently. So each day, Henry ran farther, trying to work up his stamina. It was working.

He hears the man ask if this is his usual path and he shakes his head. "Usually I stick to the docks." Being close to the Ark and his pack seemed more logical. He preferred to be close to them. Pack life was something else the new were was slowly getting used to. It wasn't a way of life he had grown up in, so accepting that pack bond had been a hard lesson for him to learn. Naturally he wanted to fall towards Sterling...and yet there was something pulling him towards the Ark.

He was silent a moment before he took another sip of his water bottle, the cool liquid refreshing. "This park holds sentimental value to me, so I visit from time to time." This very park had been where he had met Sterling â€" the blue-eyed boy stealing Henry's heart in that very moment. It was where they fell in love. Henry came here often just to feel close to those memories, as a way to tell himself that one day things might be better for him and Sterling.

The conversation was an easy one, even if Henry had never really been used to small talk â€" especially with a stranger. He was usually quite horrible at it, but he supposed it was more due to lack of practice than anything. "What about you? Do you come here often?" He pauses a moment before he continues. "Do I need to be concerned about your interest in the children?" He chuckled lightly, knowing the man beside him was probably not a pedophile, but he had to be certain. He was not opposed to protecting young children if he had to.
