South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

If we are lost we can always be found

Oralee found the book interesting, a hero off to save the world with many trials ahead, his own interests at times clashing with what was needed of him to complete his quest, but in the end overcoming the odds to do what needed to be done. Her mother had warned her that despite how often the theme appeared in literature, in the real world, heroes like that were incredibly uncommon. Of course, Ori liked to think there was good in everyone, and although she didn't completely disregard her mother's sage advice, she did think that her mother was a tad paranoid about some things.

The blonde girl found herself lost in the beginnings of another journey as she continued to turn pages, the various sounds of laughter and burbling water and wind rushing through the flora becoming white noise as Ori became more invested in the characters and world that this author had so thoughtfully provided the real world with. Ori found the funny musing enter her mind that it was like she was on her own hero's journey. Coming from a far-off place on a farm to this big city with so many mysterious things that were hers to discover. Sure, she already missed some of the things from home, despite having barely arrived in Sacrosanct, but the teenager figures there will be new things here she will grow to love and miss when she goes home.

Oralee couldn't help her mind turning in such ways, she simply liked to think of all the good that would surely come in time, the new friends she would make, the foods that she would surely come to love, the gorgeous landscape that already captivated the girl, and surely so much more that she had yet to find! The prospect of discovery and experience was incredible. This was her chance to grow up and show her parents that they had done well in raising her.

The fae was so engrossed in her thoughts and book, she didn't notice that there was a man whose path set him on a collision course with her... that was, until it was a little too late for her to do anything. He had stopped right beside her leg, and the thin girl jumped upon the realization of the large, well-built man in front of her. He looked burly, and combined with his tattoos and clothing, did frighten Ori a bit at first... but when her wide green eyes met his, and then he spoke, she realized that there was no malice or detectible disdain. This was simply a situation where a man had almost run into a girl and knocked her clear into the fountain, and he was simply trying to apologize. Ori wasn't sure if she could judge him as a gentle giant-type character yet, but there was no need for her to be afraid right now.

After taking a moment to collect herself, she reestablished a gentle smile on her face.

"It's alright! Don't worry about it, no one got hurt or soaked, so it's okay." Ori expressed this genuinely, although her words may have been a tad rushed, Ori was always a fast talker, even when she didn't mean it. After a moment of quiet, forest greens wandered over the array of tattoos that decorated the man, although she didn't mean to be rude and tried not to stare too long, the intricacy of the work did astound her. She thought that tattoos could be beautiful, even if she'd never want any on her own skin, she didn't understand why some were so opposed to that expression.

"S-sorry, I don't mean to stare, sir, but I don't think I've ever seen any tattoos as intricate as yours are! The artist must be very talented!" Of course, in fairness, Ori had only seen a few other tattooed individuals when she went out to the village a decent ways from the little country house where she had grown up, but she was impressed by the art, but understood that it was rude to stare and thus tried to keep eye contact but not be creepy. It was always a hard line to balance, especially with her at times social awkwardness, especially around strangers.
