South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Anna-Marie had been having a splendid night so far, having the attention of her Sebastian so sparking that pleasant mood. She was spirited and carefree playing with that puppy whose energy matched hers while under Sebastian's watch. There was no warning to how that moment would be given to turn sour. Perhaps if the breeze had turned and carried the scent of that woman to warn the pair it could have been avoided. There was also little to tell if it would have triggered a far hungrier reaction too. As it was, girl and canine collided with the perched woman and went easily sprawling to the sand.

The petite blonde only knew as she looked back for the source of her collision she was met with a sight that had been long buried. That memory which caused her vision to swim with flames and screams for which her own scream joined in as her hands clamped over her ears and eyes scrunched shut willing it all to go away. That chaotic moment made even more so by the displeased dog barking at what it could only guess was the source of the child vampire's distress. That scream ceased as Sebastian's arms enveloped her and his voice touched her ear. A singular shudder ran down the girl's spine before those sapphire eyes slowly opened once more. There was no more fire and no more screams in her head. Anna-Marie gazed about quizzically, glancing up at Sebastian then to the strange woman once more.

Slowly the child vampire crept from Sebastian's side over to the woman. Anna circled the woman, curiosity clear in her gaze though it was still no less tense than a predator circling prey, as she reached out to first touch her hair then her face. Whether or not it was appropriate to do such things didn't seem to matter to the vampire. All at once a small smile crossed her once stone features, "Tu es elle et pas elle."(you are her and not her) Again, the fact that the woman may not understand didn't seem to concern Anna.

That same soft smile was cast back at Sebastian before Anna's investigation of the woman seemed satisfactory and her attention quickly diverted to the items the woman had dropped. Ever the toucher she crouched and picked up the sketchpad to investigate it. "I like this one. You made it?" That gaze tore away from the sketch to look back at the woman and Sebastian as if there hadn't just been a chaotic mess mere moments before.
