Nadya graciously nodded, accepting his condolences about her birth parents. She didn't talk about them much as she really didn't remember a whole lot. What memories had been returned to her by the witch had long ago started to fade. She had simply been too young to retain very much. Their death would have impacted her brother much more deeply seeing as he had been 10 at the time. The only true sorrow she felt on it was wishing her birth parents could have met her children.
That conversation and the thoughts along with them were easily pushed aside for the present. "Izzy, finish your sand castle, it's time to go." With every passing minute Micah was getting heavier in her arms. Izzy would likely need a nap soon or she was going to hit a meltdown wall any minute. Nadya would rather that wall not happen while out in public. The toddler pouted heavily, shoving as much sand as she could onto the surfboard, quite content to remain where she was. "Izzy...if you're good we can see Mr. Doss and his surfboard again soon." The child seemed to contemplate this, her hazel eyes turning up to the man whose surfboard she sat on.
Apparently she was ok with this deal and left her place on his surfboard to cling to her mother's legs. "Go to our blanket and get your backpack." Nadya urged the girl to their adjoining place before turning back to Ashton. "She'll forget about it come tomorrow. But...if you are up for teaching again, there is a pool at the community center that has open swim in the afternoons. Maybe someone else would have luck teaching them to not be afraid of the water. Only if you want though." Nadya smiled warmly, digging in the back pocket of her shorts to produce her dance studio business card. "I can compensate you of course. It was nice to meet you Ashton." She held out her hand once more to shake his before heading off after Izzy whom had started to whine about being thirsty.
