South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Raylin Chike

How very content she was, Raylin simply enjoying her beer, watching Tim work away. It was rather nice, truly it was. She couldn't be happier, the girl entirely thankful for the life she lived and the friends she had made while in the city. They hadn't particularly lived here long, Raylin simply wanting to be closer to her parents, her reasoning to following them out here. She had to admit, she wasn't the biggest fan of the cold and yet, she still managed to keep herself occupied, the girl bracing the winter and plunging herself into the depths of the ocean to catch a wave. She wasn't the only crazy person to go surfing in the winter, however, she simply didn't have any friends to go with, her friends more city folk than anything, refusing to get dirty with nature. Not that she minded.

She's preoccupied with what she's going to do tomorrow, not noticing the vampire who changes course to sit with her. Lifting the beer to her lips, she takes another deep drink, enjoying the refreshment. A southern drawl catches her attention as she sets her drink down and glances up towards a dark haired man. Waving a hand towards the stool, Ray offers an award winning smile, "Not at all! Please take it," she nods her head, scooting over to make a touch more room. As he settles himself in, Raylin can't help but stare for a moment, she wasn't raised in the dark like most humans were about magical creatures, hell, she even had friends that were shifters! Yet, she manages to pull away her gaze so not to be rude a warning bell going off in her head

Raylin ignored it, a warning bell peeled in her head anytime a supernatural creature was concerned, she had learned over her lifetime to push it away. I mean, they weren't that much different than humans? Why would she discriminate against them? His teasing joke to lighten the mood has the girl glancing up at Tim to see him staring, unable to hide it himself and Raylin practically cringed for the man. She was thankful she hadn't stared... well, at least as long.

She can't help but allow her own light laughter blend into his own, Raylin bringing a hand up to cover her mouth, "That must be unfortunate," she laughs between her fingers, her body shifting towards him to converse. It isn't long before their conversation is directed to her hair, Raylin bringing a dark hand up to twirl a piece around her finger. "My dad wasn't very thrilled with the idea, I thought he was going to pass out when I went home to visit," she laughs freely at the memory, her father quite nearly having a conniption, only her mom managed to calm him down. When you were born and raised in Africa, you didn't have much opportunity to see such... colors.

"Let me guess, you must not be from around here. That's the most respectful anyone has ever been since I've moved to the city!" She states with a small hand gesture, "Where are you from?" She asks, her eyes traveling to the man's gaze, noting how very unique the colors were and yet, it seemed to be the most safest place for her to concentrate on. "Oh, where are my manners! Do you want a drink?" She asks, but before he can answer, Raylin shifts in her seat to wave down Tim who is still casting the vampire glances over his shoulder. She's almost worried he isn't going to come and he finally thinks better of it, turning on a heel and walking down the bar towards them. "What can I get you?" he asks almost gruffly, not usual good natured Tim. Raylin can't help but frown at him, wondering why he was being so rude.
