South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Her heart rate had skyrocketed until it was pounding in her chest at such a fervent pace she thought it might burst from her rib cage. There was no option of turning and trying to fight off the killer whale, all she could do was run, and she couldn't even do that for very long because of how much faster he was than her; he was remarkably agile for his species. Her mind was racing, panic forcing her to think and think fast. Staying low in the rocks and coral had kept him from catching her, his large body not able to maneuver like she could. Her sleek grey form was dipping and diving, dodging sharp teeth and sharp rock. Back flippers worked furiously to keep her at top speed while her pectoral flippers were used to steer her through the reef. Arya knew she was in a lot of trouble, if she couldn't find a way to escape from the massive creature hunting her, she was going to get eaten. There was no way she was going to be able to cut towards the shore and make it before he grabbed her, her best bet was to stick to the reef and use that to her advantage.

Amber eyes found a small cave cut into the reef, a perfect place for fish to hide in...or perhaps even a seal. She quickly dove in, forcing her body as far to the back as she possibly could. It was just in time too, when she looked out she saw teeth snapping at where she had once been. Adrenaline coursed through her veins as her mind frantically began to think of a new plan now that she had time to think. The killer whale was distinctly a large male, his dorsal fin stretching tall on his back and his pectorals massive discs on his sides; he was simply colossal. It would seem Arya's luck had not been the best of late, from getting stabbed mere weeks ago to now getting trapped between a rock and a hard, or sharp toothy, place. She just wanted to cry, and then maybe take a nap. That is if she can get herself out of this horrible situation. The two creatures, predator and prey, are in a tense standoff with the killer whale unable to reach her and Arya unable to leave. But she knew this standstill could not last long, eventually one of them would have to make a move for air, and she absolutely did not want to test her luck anymore.

With one last hope, she reached with her affinity out into the creatures mind. She expected to find the simple emotions of an animal, to see what she could do to disorient the orca by toying with them. What she had no expected to find were complex feelings. Tucked in the back of the killer whales mind was...sadness? There was frustration and confusion? These were all decidedly human traits. Her amber gaze looked out at the whale, watching as it hovered near the entrance looking back at her. The WereSeal couldn't read minds, but she could swear by the look in his eyes that he was thinking. Arya did not hesitate to speak, to reach out with her mind. If this was another Were, he was likely to not eat her knowing she was also a Were...unless of course she happened to run into the one cannibal were in Sacrosanct. She forced him to feel guilt, but she did not force the horror she felt flow through his mind and show visible on his features with a very comical dropping of his jaw.

How desperately she wanted to breath out a sigh of relief when his mental voice flooded into her mind, his panicked apology. Arya winced lightly, god was he loud. She watched as he backed up to give her plenty of space, and instantly she felt less threatened. "Hey, it's okay," she said, trying to reassure him as she watched him start having a full blown meltdown. A small grey head peaked out from the shadows, her big, puppy-like amber eyes staring at him. She hesitated for a moment, but then she left the safety of the cave to swim out and up to the other Were; she was certain he wasn't going to hurt her anymore. She could feel the emotions wracking his brain, sending him into a frenzy. Arya couldn't help but feel bad for pushing him towards this by making him feel guilt. Immediately she reached into his mind, gently calming his emotions. "It's okay, there's no way you could have known I was a Were," she said, her voice soft and kind.

Arya swam closer until she was close enough to gently reach out with her stubby flipper and offer a reassuring touch to his forehead. She wanted to giggle at his insistence he be her bodyguard, but she held it in. "You don't have to be my bodyguard, you don't have to do anything for me. It's not your fault and I forgive you," she said quietly. Her words were gentle and kind, trying to ease his worries and calm him down. Even if he wasn't a Were, or if he had hurt her in anyway, Arya would never blame or be mad at the situation. She knew that as a seal, there were animals that hunted her, and that's just how life was; they had to eat too. "I'm sorry you have to go hungry now," she said, humor in her words as light laughter followed her words. She was trying to cheer him up now, make him laugh or something other than feel guilty. This whole situation was...an unfortunate disaster.
