This was getting more and more fun as the night wore on. Serafina gave him a sly grin but he managed to bring laughter to her lips when he almost hit the men walking by. She agreed that they didn't know what to do and he grinned right back, feeling proud of himself. "Well of course not. Who could with this pretty face?" He pretended to be framing his own face, giving her a sly wink as they kept stumbling forward. When she stuck her tongue out at them, he felt his eyes darken for a moment, thoughts of where that tongue could surely go flitting through his mind before he shook his head and laughed when the men screamed obscenities back at them. He stumbled more toward her and snorted as she almost hit the building. He made a show of trying to cradle her head with his hand so it didn't hit the brick but he ended up mostly petting her hair instead. "Careful, sweetheart. Don't need to knock that pretty head." When he asked more about the army though, she suspiciously went to giggling without words and he decided she wasn't talking anymore about it. Fine, he wasn't really in the mindset for investigating futher anyway and he might not even remember this in the morning. She laughed again when he called himself invincible, but for a moment he saw a shift in her eyes as she looked at him before they both remembered that drinks were needed ASAP. She grabbed his hand, tugging him down an alleyway where he almost came to blows with a homeless man in a cardboard box. But as he saw the neon lights, it all made sense. She agreed with him that it was beautiful and shouted for him to wait up as she stumbled after him. "Beauty waits for no one, darling." He purred back to her as he stumbled through the door, chuckling. She was right behind him though, and when he pointed out the couple from the other bar, she told him that the ghost was still following them. He squinted and leaned forward, almost falling on his face as he shook his head. "What? I don't see him. Is he playing hide and seek?" But then he remembered the drinks and stumbled forward, all but collapsing into a chair as Serafina followed suit. She started talking, her words slurring and he threw his head back laughing. "There's no one there, sweetheart, but keep trying." He grinned before holding a card up for the bartender, who sent someone to their table. "What the lady just slurred and I'll have....hell, surprise me." The man looked between them in clear confusion before nodding and making his way back to the bar with Christian's credit card in hand. He'd probably leave that one too. Oh well, he had too many for his own good anyway. He turned his attention back to Serafina, leaning on his elbows on the table to lean closer to her. "So, Sera....what's your favorite color? I need to guess what color underwear you have on." He smirked, his eyes twinkling, hazed with drunkeness and a flirty confidence that only grew stronger with alcohol in his system. ![]() |
