South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

death incarnate & night triumphant

His words hardly do anything to guilt trip the girl into releasing the gem, that emerald a precious family heirloom and yet, he didn't think he was going to get that back easily. His sigh releases the anger that so ripples through his form the Faerie Lord looking at the woman with a touch of curiosity, her immediate response bringing a faint smile to his lips. Yes, perhaps he was having an awful day and yes, he could wrench that jewel from her hands and fly away. Still, he didn't want to scare the woman anymore than he already had, she was innocent in a way he hadn't seen in centuries. The fact that she clung onto that innocence, especially as a faerie was almost astounding... their species a dwindling race due to Hunters and yet, here she was. Defying him of his rightful property. "I can't say I disagree with you, my dear. It is a gift from lady nature and yet, that particular gemstone you are holding is from my late mother who gave it to me for safe keeping," he finally states, his head tilting at her. There were other ways he could retrieve it but Andras was content to settle this in a civil manner. "If a precious family member had given something to you and someone were to take it away... wouldn't you want it back?" He asks gently, his accented words drifting across the clearing.

His remark on her being more like a dragon than himself seems to please the woman greatly, Andras smiling encouraging at her as he gives her a nod. Her giggles that fill the clearing are precious, faeries hardly ever finding reasons to laugh these days in the city and yet, here she was, laughing heartily. "A very fierce dragon if I might add," he says encouragingly though it seems to back fire, the girl becoming wary once more as she asks him about her stash. He shrugs slightly, "It wasn't terribly hard to figure it out, it's right behind you," he says, nodding with his head at the sparkling of jewels just around the corner. "You also led me right to it," he says a bit more gently, the girl probably thinking she wasn't being followed until he swooped down. Watching her back away, he's tempted to step forward and help steady her, though Andras was almost certain if he made a move towards her she would race away and the chase would commence once more. He could only chance flying in the daylight so much, the man hardly able to conceal himself in the sky.

As she continue to backs away, Andras is tempted to launch himself across the clearing and tackle her to the ground and yet he refrains, keeping his limbs loose and nimble. The first sign of pursuit would send her fleeing, he was certain so he changes tactic on her, asking about that pesky bird who had been following her around the last time they met. It seemed to work the way he wanted it to, the girl lightening up at the mention of Mr. Crow. As she explains, Andras offers a gentle smile, "Ah, that is rather unfortunate. Perhaps he will get better with more practice," he encourages, why he was encouraging the girl to steal was beyond him and yet... and idea was slowly forming in his mind. Perhaps he could use a girl like her, the woman not exactly what he was looking for and yet, she was stealthy and no one would take her for a thief. She was far too innocent, he didn't think anyone would believe her that she stole things for the Faerie King. Her next comment has him being drawn out of his thoughts, a puzzled expression so crossing his features as he stares at the woman, "I- no, I didn't know that. That's a very interesting tidbit," he says, gathering himself as he smiles at her.

She's still rather timid even as he continues conversing with her, the woman blurting out question after a question. "I promise," he nods again. He imagined she would be flinging that gem to the side by the end of the day. Again her question has Andras grinning at her, "I do," he states simply before offering his name. It was as if the offering of his name seemed to ease her, he was no longer a big scary monster ad an actual person. She's quick to introduce herself only to be hammered with questions once more, he didn't mind, Andras needed to get her more comfortable before his next offer. "I have as long as I can remember and my memory goes back a very long time," he laughs, the ancient faerie hardly divulging anything else in that moment. "Say, Illiana," he says questioningly, "Would you be interested in meeting my court? I could offer you a home and a more secure location to hide your pretty things," he offers gently, "If it's not for you I could bring you back to your cave here," he states casually, hardly wanting to push the girl.

"I have a massive treasury that you might like, all sorts of jewels and gems, I even have some extremely rare gold pieces," he tempts her with that treasury, such an ancient vault he had. Yet, he couldn't bring himself to release those ancient tendencies, he rather enjoyed the chaos that vault held. He didn't have much use for most of it now, the pieces far out of fashion but he had hoped to gift some to Lani eventually, perhaps when she wasn't so angry with him. "If you would like to visit, I'd be happy to show you my vault of treasures," okay, so perhaps he was pushing it a little too far but he hardly thought Illy was going to mind much, the girl seeming to like... pretty things.
