We were chasing the thunder inside the storm;
The wedding was beautiful everything had been decorated from top to bottom with lavish embellishments. The lights set the mood and flooded the tent with romance and wonder. The she-wolf highly suspected, that's what a wedding was supposed to feel like. All gooey and warm.. and romantic. Yet there was nothing of the sort on Mira's mind, finding amusement of so much goddamn food at a vampire wedding. Of course, it made sense, seeing as there were just as many beings with a pulse here. It was remarkable, regardless, just how many people attended, she enjoyed observing them from a distance, these functions were a breeding ground for such people watching to be possible. Assessing who was with who, who was enjoying life and who would rather be removed from it. Her most favourite game was spotting the couples, they always acted the quirkiest. Only when she peered around, it was so blatantly clear how few people she knew, except for that Frosty alpha she decided it best to avoid in general. In fact, skillfully hiding in plain sight seemed to work wonders amongst the dense throng of people. Politely offering a smile or returning a casual greeting or trying to find copious ways to explain she was here for neither the bride or the groom. Weddings were awkward, but amusing and she found it nearly impossible to say no to the man who clearly wasn't that keen on them either when he had asked her to accompany him.
She spent most of the pretty ceremony watching the mysterious Tetradore with one of his many masks carefully placed upon his usually stoic features. Some of those deeply etched cracks were easily missed by those in the crowd but Mira knew better. She was beginning to piece together that complex puzzle that was Tetradore unbeknownst to him. He looked rather dapper in a suit, his moppy hair styled into tame locks. Hell, even Mira turned it up a notch, wearing a long midnight blue gown that kissed the floor, adorned by a long peekaboo slit that showed off her slender legs. Revealing and yet not showing too much, it was a careful balance between the two, one that could teeter either way. Her long rich brown locks fell down in an loose controlled wave down her exposed back that gave it a velvet softness that tickled her bare flesh as she walked.
She waits patiently once the ceremony had ended, remaining slightly off to the side of that very aisle, standing with a hand at the back of one of those many chairs. She had thoroughly distracted herself as she waited for her date. It would seem her gaze felt the pull of a distant line from a raven-haired packmate. That impossible woman that Tetradore turned. Mira seemed to watch her with an air of mild caution. She seemed far more tame clad in a dress, but even Mira knew better than to trust that alone. It would seem the golden eyed she-wolf had not avoided detection from those hate-filled purple eyes either, Tetradore fairing the worst from that wordless assault. She had her doubts that anyone could get through to Harley at all and the last thing she wanted was anything hurled at her head tonight. It would appear the tiny woman had a decent throwing arm and even louder mouth and Mira hardly desired for a scene. It was Tetradore's approach that had her break from her own musings. He easily encased that arm around her waist to purposefully lead her away from the scattered people and the loud boisterous conversation that competed over some light music.
It was his approach and that compliment that brought a vibrant smile to lips, her golden eyes harbouring a spark of amusement. "You can never call a woman ravishing too much. Apparently, this was a way better attempt at that arm candy nonsense... especially without heavy explosives and guns pointed at us, don't you agree? Plus, I think I kind of like watching you in a suit." She nudged him near lightheartedly as she offered him those equally playful lyrics. When they settled away from the crowd they were approached by a rather unique couple, and Mira hadn't the faintest clue who they were... except for this nagging familiarity she couldn't quite place a finger on. It wasn't long before the gentlemanly couple who were clearly familiar with Tetradrore, flitted off into the crowd and left. It left her wondering, pondering for the briefest of moment before Tetradore's voice ensnared her attention once more.
Tetradore disclosed that he needed a drink after those festivities. Curiosity flashed within those golden eyes that settle upon him, that tell-tale look upon her face spoke to the questions she would have assaulted him with should he try to elude her. By now he should know better that it was not in her nature to allow things grow stagnant, nor unturned. For a moment they seemed locked in a wordless conversation that they only understood, that roll of his vibrant emerald eyes hardly deterring her in the slightest. She rose her brows at him in an expression that said.. 'Well.... Out with it.' Truly she was amused by how potent that look had been because he caved near instantaneously enough to satisfy her. Tetradore shrugged his shoulders, it bugged him far more than he was truly admitting in that very moment. She had already been informed enough to know of the previous ties the western alpha had with the bride. In truth, she wasn't exactly sure if Isolt was going to walk down the aisle down to meet her husband to be, even with the bun cooking in the oven.
It was baffling that a vampire could even get pregnant and it only flooded the brunette with a sundry of burning queries. For now, those thoughts were pushed from her mind. She shook her head after he spoke, rolling her eyes slightly. How that crimson crowned bride had truly held a spell over him and even on her wedding day she seemed content to pluck the strings of those very ties. It hardly made any sense at all at how they ended up here. That explanation she had received before hardly adding up in any fashion. Isolt walking down the aisle with another man and Tetradore forced to shove down his own feelings simply to appease a woman he still clearly had feelings for. She would have been lying to say that it didn't prompt some jealousy within her. It surprised even her. She was quite content living in the moment, Mira parted her lips to speak. She was genuinely baffled. "I'm a woman and I don't even know what the hell that means." She pursed her lips in consideration.
Mira gazed out into the crowd noticing Nadya and her children, knowing very well the estranged relationship between the two. It was sad. "Not a word? I think I would need a drink or several too." She threw her hands up slightly, a frown on her features. "Well she looks pretty keen on avoiding us anyways." It was then.. a rather mischievous plan had formed within her mind.
"This is why you have me tonight, your personal distraction for the evening's festivities. I happen to have an idea you might be interested in... but it requires a little bit of alcohol and slipping away when no one notices... and.. a beach. That is.. unless you have a counter idea." she spoked in hushed tones, as though sharing some deep dark secret, her body near instinctually leaning just a little closer although she doesn't close that distance. She is careful to keep their conversation between them, but even she couldn't hide that way her lips curled as though they threatened to give away her thoughts. "But first things first, we need to find a way to skip that ridiculous line to the bar."
I'd rather be dangerous;
