South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

I'm Sure I've Heard This Claim Before and it Was a Lie

Oh, I am so tickled pink by this! I know Alexander the Great's biggest secret. Well, maybe one of his biggest secrets. I mean I am sure that the man has a lot of skeletons in his closets and he doesn't seem like the type that is willing to discuss them. Actually, anyone that has skeletons in their closet won't be willing to talk about them at all. Unless they are a narcissistic serial killer, because those people are more than happy to talk about themselves and their deeds, right before they decide you are their next victim. And I figured it out all on my own! After one meeting, just one meeting with the Fae. I'm not going prance up to the old King and circle around him and in a sing-song voice say 'I know something about you, and I'm not going to tell,' because that was not necessarily. But at least when we have to do any training, and I am annoyed about something, I can have this lovely bit of information to make me chuckle. As Matteo confirmed that he truly was a horse whisperer and he taught Alexander everything I can't help but lift up one of my hooves and smash it into the ground, as I tossed my head upwards in a jovial manner. Nickering quite softly I bring my large nose against his chest as I let his hand travel up my neck to take care of those pesky itches.

Both ears prick forward though as I listen to him start to explain just why his kind could be seen as dangerous too. I mean I still find it hard to believe, because I am quite assured that my explanation makes a whole lot of sense. While he starts to stand up I take a few steps back to give him a bit of room, because clearly I didn't take into consideration that my gigantic frame is popping that invisible personal bubble. When he extends his hand to my forehead I happily take a step forward and allow my forehead to press against his hand. Snorting softly I listen quite attentively with my eyes half-way closed. As he speaks about his species it's quite easy to see why he would deem his kind just as dangerous, if not more dangerous than the other supernatural creatures.

He doesn't have to kill our kind like the Dark Hunters. He doesn't require nourishment or blood, but can still live for pretty much all eternity. He isn't bothered by the moon, and some of their species get wings or better senses. It's the witch part that I simply don't get. If anything I would think that a Fae has nothing in association. So, essentially a Fae is the supernatural creature that appears to have no flaws, but that can't be possible. If they can live for, forever, then they will lose everyone that ever met whether they loved them or not, and that I think is a tragedy. Moving my head I gently bump my nose into his hand, trying to make sure I'm at least touching him so the communication between us is much clearer.

"How come you have some of the pieces of power from the other supernatural creatures, I mean what limitations do you have? I mean one limitation would be you outliving everyone, never being able to see them again if there really is another side?"

His comment about anyone being able to be dangerous made sense though. I mean I have the ability to make someone lose any of their 5 senses. That Were-Rhino that I helped Alexander deal with, I made him go blind and deaf. Hell I even made him feel a whole lot of pain! It had nothing to do with me being a horse. Horses are just a tool for humans. That's all they were used for. Need to travel long distances before there were trains, cars or planes, get a horse. Need to charge the enemy, get a horse. Need something to help you farm or carry stuff? Get a horse if a mule or donkey wasn't available. As his fingers move over towards my forehead and start to grasp my forelock. Nickering softly I take another step towards him. Both ears twitched forward as he began to speak again. I listen quietly watching as the other Were-Horse starts to move around in his corral once he was done eating his meal. I didn't know my bite had more force than wolf. I did know though my kick is pretty good, I mean I knocked out that one ram with my kick in the fighting ring! If I could roll my eyes I would when he mentioned the list of predator creatures that weren't used for battles. Since I couldn't roll my eyes I might as well reply in a feisty manner.

"That's because you can't ride on a tiger or a lion or a wolf. Not to mention they'd probably turnaround and try to eat you."
