South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

For such gigantic creatures, she was impressed without gentle they all were. Either grown elephant was capable of stomping over her or pushing her down with their trunk or tusks. They seemed to be well aware that with their size they should be quite careful around others. As they picked up the food from her hand she happily stroked their trunk, finding their skin to be quite rough. Every now and then she would look over to her mate noticing he seemed a bit more hesitant around his own adult elephant. It was rather amusing to think that the roles between them were reversed. To try to reassure Tobias that the elephants were okay, she happily explained to him that the elephants found them to be cute. Of course, it was only because a certain part of their brain lit up. But that piece of information seemed to do some good, but she noticed for a brief moment he didn't seem nervous around them. At the mention of him describing himself was scrappy, she couldn't help but chuckle quite softly.

"I'd still describe you as scrappy though. I'd even go so far as to say you're handsome after you've taken a shower."

Playfully she closed her eyes and stuck her tongue out in a teasing manner. As their guides came by to layout the next plan they had in store for their elephant experience, she looked over to her mate with concern. He didn't like water. Seeing how large these creatures were they were bound to use a lot of water. It would be best for the two of them to sit out on this experience. Heading over to Tobias, she gently held his hand, attempting to show she would stand at his side and not take part in this activity. That shake of his head though made her tilt her head to the side, curious as to why he would say no. As he encouraged her to go on ahead and participate in bathing the elephants, she leaned in to kiss his cheek, quite touched by his actions. Allowing him to lead her to the bathing area, she let go of his hand and waved after him as she headed towards the elephants standing and watching the sanctuary workers get the buckets full of water and soap. One of the men would hand her a long brush and set a soapy bucket next to her while the other man turned on the hose and began to spray a steady stream of water at one of the adult elephants. The two baby elephants would walk away from the adults and head over to wear Tobias was standing. For a moment Raven would turn her head laughing.

"It looks like they are like you, Tobias. They don't want a bath either."

Taking the brush she would dip the brush over to her bucket and then bring it up to one of the adult's back, gently scrubbing it down. The adults seemed quite pleased waiting patiently and letting her brush them. The other man would come around with his own brush and start to scrub down the other adult elephants. Finishing up with one of the adults, Raven watched as the cleaned Elephant walked over to the young elephants, using her trunk to poke at the younger ones to come forward for their bath. As soon as the young elephants made it to where Raven was standing, she would brush one of them, laughing as the young one's trunk tried to grab the brush. Laughing she would keep a firm grip of the brush, as she continued to clean it. Once they were finished, she handed the brush back over to the man, waving for Tobias to come over. Petting the young elephant, she looked over towards Tobias' grinning.

"We get to take them for a walk we just go down that trail."

Heading over towards the end of their pen, one of the men opened up the gate to let them all out. The younger elephants would move front leaving the older elephants to walk behind Tobias and Raven. As they walked one of the younger elephants would start to poke Tobias' side with his trunk, while the other younger elephant started messing with his hair.

"You know, I'm quite impressed with them. Who would have thought they'd be so gentle. The younger ones seemed to have taken a liking to you."
