South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

He wanted to help her any way he could but he knew he could only do that if she allowed it. He would never force his help on someone and Sorcha wasn't one to take help unless it was absolutely the last straw. He could only hope she'd found some way to deter the coven from their plans for her magic or found a way to cut the ties that bound them but he knew even if she didn't, she wouldn't admit it to him, at least not right now, cause she wouldn't want to worry him. He could wait though. Maybe they could rekindle their connection and she could find it in herself to trust him once more, to let him in as she had before. Maybe in time she would allow him to help. For now he could only hope that this wasn't the last time he got to see her again. Hopefully she wouldn't just disappear again and never be heard from again.

That was her choice to make, but he could hope differently. He tried not to stare intently as she ate, not wanting to make her uncomfortable. It was just a habit of his to watch the world around him, especially those things he would never fully understand. She listened attentively as he described the taste of different blood to her and he was surprised when she made a playful comment about her own tasting greasy. He chuckled. Then she said she heard their silver blood tasted really good and asked about the truthfulness of that. He thought on it for a minute before giving a small smirk and a nod. "The magic in it can give a high almost akin to fae blood. Depending on the source of the witch or warlock's power, whether it be earth magic or dark magic, it can make the taste go either way."

He kept his voice as neutral as possible. He'd never given Sorcha a reason to fear him and he wasn't going to start now. He had a very strong hold on his blood lust after all this time. He could walk through a bloody battle field and never bat an eye, even with dead fae and their blood on display. Blood did not control him as it did in his very early days. Godric made sure that he wouldn't be a slave to his lust for it. He didn't know Sorcha's other experiences with vampires but he could only hope that she would never fall prey to one of the less disciplined of his kind. She had a pure kind heart and he would hate to see anything happen to it or any part of her. For a moment something flickered in her eyes and she looked almost breathless. The idea of her face going flush was enough to make his body stir in a new way but he simply watched her for a moment, curious of what she was thinking.

He felt her gaze as he got lost in his own thoughts and when he looked up, she had the funniest grin on her face. His brow lifted expectantly but he knew she wasn't going to tell him what she was grinning about. It was just part of her charm. her sudden comment about him being dangerous though made his brows furrow in puzzlement. He couldn't help but lean forward too though, if only to get another whiff of her scent. It was intoxicating as ever. He knew she was going to explain so he waited and that's just what she did. When she did, he couldn't help but smirk, his eyes lighting up in appreciation. "I wouldn't say I've had a lot of practice in actually talking to women but I guess a few centuries can lend you a better understanding of what someone can go through in their lives."

He added a little smile on the end. When he told her that she looked well, she told him that he did too but he didn't miss the blush on her cheeks as she brushed her hair back behind her ear. His eyes followed the gesture as if entranced, and the red on her cheeks had him shifting in his seat a little. He did miss seeing that all the time. It was definitely a weakness of his, especially when it came to Sorcha. She stood up and for a moment, disappointment clouded his thoughts cause he thought she was leaving now. But then she asked him to walk with her to her apartment and his eyes lit up again. She brought up Darwin and he smiled, remembering the cat well from her time staying with him. He stood up. "I'd love to. I hope Darwin remembers me."
