South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Raven Cain

With Tobias gone, she found it quite amusing to see the Dark Hunter still perched high in his tree. Why he thought he could be safe in a tree baffled her. Her husband was part feline, and he had the capability of climbing up a tree to snatch him. The only way Azrael would be safe from her husband, was if he stayed on an island, surrounded by water...and sharks for additional security. Her husband's uncanny skill of finding anyone anywhere, Azrael would always be vulnerable. Now that Azrael was out of his tree, she listened as he explained why he was taking her witch out of the country. It was sweet in a way to see that familiar simper creep on his face as he spoke about his own love. Seeing him shrug his shoulders and answer, she nodded quietly in agreement. Serafina did like shopping. It was a shame that his kind demeanor switched as he irritably complained about her not living near Sacrosanct. It wasn't their fault that they now lived in the woods. Tetradore had this cabin for them, and she was rather grateful to have a very nice place to stay. Although the seclusion was a bit painful. It was hard being so far away from her chosen family and friends. The mention that he didn't hate her company was answered with a very happy tail wag.

Whenever she and her witch would spend time together, Raven was always happy to hear how Serafina made her boyfriend uncomfortable. Of course, Serafina did it out of love and a bit of humor. Why couldn't she do the same thing? Making her approach, she leaned into his leg, slowly brushing up against him and nuzzling him gently. When she inhaled his scent, she could detect his distress, finding it oddly satisfying. Why would he be uncomfortable with this? How many times had he been around her? After Frost attacked her, he came into her bedroom and touched her. When they had to rescue Serafina, he had to carry her as they sped across town. Hell, there was a moment when he had to ride on her back. So, why in the world would he still be uncomfortable with her presence? Gently she pressed her cold nose against his hand and licked it. Innocently she looked up at him with her tail wagging happily behind her as she replied.

"Making you uncomfortable."

When she felt his leg shift, she slowly backed away, allowing him his space once more. When he asked about her companion, she tilted her dial to the side. Was it really that obvious that Tobias was acting differently? Azrael was a friend. It wasn't like she could hide from him her pregnancy. Bashfully she told him the good news, but she wasn't expecting the man to act surprised at the very idea that Tobias could get her pregnant in the first place. Without hesitation, she let out a deep snarl as her dark form started to shake. The fur on the back of her neck bristled, her lips pulled back to reveal her very sharp teeth, her ears flatten against her skull. Why is it that everyone always acted as if her mate wasn't capable of doing anything. He was different, sure, and yet deserved to be treated with dignity and respect. Raven was tired of everyone treating him poorly, or speaking ill about him. Her tolerance for this treatment on her husband by others no longer existed. After all this time, she thought Azrael would let go of his negative opinion on her mate. Standing in agitation, her voice was firm but calm, as she began to set him straight.

"Tobias is my mate, my husband, my best friend. Everything good that's ever happened to me all started when he entered my life. He is quite capable of many things, just like any normal man. He has a condition Azrael, and although he may not seem all there, I can assure you...he is. Do not insult him, ever again. I will not tolerate it from you, or anyone else."

Assured that Azrael got the message she took a deep breath and stopped her growling. Shaking her head her dark black and grey fur settled down and the wolf returned to her relaxed state. With a wag of her tail, she was pleased to hear his congratulations.

"Thank you, we're both very excited. I'm eager to tell Serafina, my pack, and other friends the good news!"

One day she and her mate would travel to the city and spend some time there. It would be nice to see everyone again. Raven was missing everyone and sharing some good news like this might cheer everyone up after the loss of their home. Moving past Azrael she gestured with her head for the man to follow her up to the cabin, the rain starting to stop. Going to an event didn't seem dangerous at all. It was his comment about her wardrobe that made the girl stop in her tracks, to turn her head to look at him. With a deadpan tone she easily tore about whatever silly thoughts he had that she had the ability to dress for a formal occasion.

"The Ark sank Azrael, I didn't have time to pack up anything formal to wear, like a dress. Plus, you're soaking wet! I didn't pack a suit for Tobias, so I'm not sure I have clothes that'll do for you. I might have a nice blouse though for myself, will that work? What's the event and what are we supposed to do?"

i'm not ashamed of my scars,
i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.
