Bringing Tobias with her to this medical facility may not have been the wisest thing for her to do. And yet, when it was time to deliver the child, she didn't want to be focused on helping him cope with being in a medical facility in the first place. As a selfless creature, the moment she would be delivering their child, she would have to be a little bit selfish. Perhaps this visit might at least give him an idea of the people, the smells, the odd taste in the air. Or this visit could be a disaster. In the case of her deviant companion, it could go either way. After checking in for her appointment, she guided her mate into the waiting room. It was not surprising to hear that low warning growl coming from her mate, one hand quickly reaching out for his own, squeezing it gently as if to reassure him. Raven wanted this to go well. She did not need him to shift into his leopard form and cause havoc everywhere. God forbid the day she delivers their child; she would have to see her husband be tackled to the ground and arrested. That sort of stress and trauma wouldn't do her or the child any good. Once they made it into their room, she settled herself on the bed, gesturing for her mate to sit in the chair. When he refused, she couldn't help but sigh softly in defeat. Being in an environment like this such, as sitting in small rooms, the disinfectant interfering with their sense of smell, and sensing the anxiety of others, it didn't do their animal side any good. Perhaps a light conversation might distract him if he was in a mood to respond.
The sound of the door opening caused her head to shift in that direction. Hearing the nurse, Heather, terrified shriek, she watched as the door quickly shut behind her. That was odd. Looking over to see her husband had partiality shift she raised placed her hands in her palms, shaking her head in disbelief. This was not what she had in mind. Lifting her head, she quickly reached for one of his clawed hands, squeezing them gently and tugging his hand to he could look at her. Giving him a stern and disapproving look, she murmured quite gently, her tone holding a disappointing tone.
Raven hardly asked her mate for anything. This would be a difficult experience for the two of them, but they needed it. Before she could say anything else, she heard the door open, and instead of Heather, she saw the familiar sight of the tall Hispanic woman. Her long ebony hair was pulled into a loose bun. With a wide smile, she extended her hand towards' Raven to shake. Letting go of her husband's hand, she reached out to shake the Doctor's hand, giving the woman a very warm grin. The young woman looked over towards Tobias, giving him a wide grin, before looking back to the werewolf.
Slowly the Doctor made her way over towards Tobias, with a slow approach. She remained standing straight and tall, the woman not making a movement that seemed she would be submitting to him. Her gaze would remain straight on the man, he would notice that one of her eyes was a honey-brown, and the other was a bright green. She would remain giving the man a friendly smile. Her tone was friendly and yet firm, as she softly and slowly set the ground rules. Raven had informed her a little bit about her husband. Weres were all the same, and he was no different from the other male Weres she had met.
With a knowing wink, she would turn her back on Tobias and head towards the patient. Raven gave the doctor a warm smile, appreciating the woman's attempt at dealing with her mate. Shifting a bit on her bed to sit straight, she watched as the woman began to pull out the familiar-looking device, already knowing what the woman would want. Lifting up her left arm, she allowed the Doctor to slip the device around her arm, not bothered at all what was to occur. The doctor would slip the device over her arm, and begin pressing the end up and down while speaking gently.
Quite Raven waited for the results and when the Doctor would be done, turning her head over to her mate and giving him a small smile. Once the Doctor was done taking her blood pressure, she would gesture for Raven to slip off and take her weight. Raven would slide off the bed, and head over to the scale, standing on top of it as the numbers climbed much higher than she had ever seen before. As they went through the motions, the two of them would speak to one another gently. The Doctor asking her a few questions, and Raven answering to the best of her ability. Settling herself back on the bed the Doctor would move in with her stethoscope to check Raven's breathing, pressing the other end to her chest, as Raven would inhale and exhale on command. Now with all the simple things out of the way, she watched as the Doctor moved to the large machine, pulling it over to the bed.
At this point Raven would look over to her husband, giving him a small simper.
