She was sure that she and her deviant companion could find a name that the two of them would agree on. So far, the names he was coming up with weren't really options that you would select for a person. It was kind of odd because he suggested inanimate objects for their child's name, but gave human names to the inanimate objects around their home. There was Steve the iron, Trevor the toaster, and Peter the soap, just to name a few. Raven did appreciate her husband trying to find a unique name for their child though! After all, their child deserved to have an uncommon name. Ever since Raven came into Sacrosanct, most of her family and friends had some sort of unusual name or one she never heard before. While the two of them fell into a comfortable silence, she continued eating the snack she prepared for the two of them, well technically three of them.
Looking out the kitchen window, she watched the spotted feline stalk and leap after some sort of colorful butterfly, quite happy in his own carefree little world. Every now and then, she would get a glimpse as to how he saw things, patiently allowing him to explain or show her what he saw in his own way. Once she caught on to whatever he was trying to explain to her, she was rewarded with a rare, genuine grin for just a few seconds, before his face returned to its unemotional state. Understanding how he saw things allowed her to know how to explain the social norms she knew, in a better way for him to comprehend. It worked out pretty well for the two of them. However, there were days when she wished she could just stay lost in his own world.
As her husband continued to frolic about, she couldn't help, but start to frown as she pondered on just how they were going to manage this new chapter in their life. Raising and keeping another human being alive, was going to be far more challenging than figuring out what to even name it! She was concerned though with how Tobias would handle it all. There were some things she was sure he could help out with, like making sure the child was safe or spending some time to play together. What she wasn't sure about was Tobias doing simple domestic things, like comforting the babe when it cried, not dropping the child when it threw up on him, or correctly changing the diaper. All of these things could be taught beforehand, but she wondered if he could do it so well without her keeping a sharp eye on him.
As much as she wanted to rely on the pack for help, the last thing she wanted to do was be a pain. How many times would she ask them for help, before they rolled their eyes, and grumbled in annoyance under their breath? Of course, she didn't think they'd actually say no or complain, but the responsibility of the child was on her and Tobias, it shouldn't rest solely on the pack. To her former pack, she was a problem, and that was putting it lightly. Then there was the issue between herself and Frost. The last thing she wanted to do was cause even more trouble for everyone. So, she couldn't ask them for help all the time, she had to do this, with or without them. Nervously she clasped her right hand to her left hand, rubbing her thumb along her left wrist, attempting to reassure herself.
Following his gaze at the mention of her husband, she watched as he started chasing his new prey, this time, a dull grey bird. Although Raven agreed with Tetradore that everyone underestimated him, she couldn't help but flinch away as he criticized her. Why would he loop her with everyone else when it came to Tobias? She was allowed to have her doubts, but that didn't mean she wouldn't at least try. Would it be difficult? Of course, but she was afraid that something terrible would go wrong, and the cause of it would ultimately be herself. Looking back at Tetradore she replied meekly.
Biting her lip, she looked back over at her mate, wishing now she could just be running around like him, not worried about what was to come. With a dejected sigh, she muttered softly.
