South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The pair of women idly chatted within the kitchen while the boy were afforded some time alone before they could no longer shirk off that inevitable shift. Raven somehow in disbelief that Mira would attend those classes with her. Why wouldn't she? If it helped, why wouldn't she support her companion if she asked it of her. The pregnant Raven seemed to light up brightly, lunging to spontaneously hug her. Mira could not help that look of surprise met with a quiet omph, before returning that hug with a laugh upon her lips. "Of course, don't be weird.." The golden eyed woman replied goodnaturedly... not quite sure what she was signing up for.. But the look of appreciation Raven's made it worth it.

The group eventually made their way outside, the impending call of the full moon was impossible to ignore a second longer. Any worry that Mira may have had about Raven's concerns about those vampires from the warehouse pushed aside. It was probably just added baby hormonal stress... After all, why ruin a perfectly good night worrying about something that was unlikely to happen. There was no possible way that they could find them here. No possible way. The group began to prepare for that shift then and how she was ready for it, her body anticipating that very thing. How content she was to run as a pack again. But not without... stealing a glance at her boyfriend in the moonlight. Unphased with her own nudity while she soaked up what felt like lunar magic.

Busted. She had been caught eyeing her alpha, her golden eyes lingering upon a man she would never tire of looking at. Mira's wandering gaze earned her little more than a raised brow and an alluring smirk that was nothing short of inviting. What she would give to take up that game of chase within the woods.. Giving into the potent urges of the full moon. How he knew she watched him as he discarded his clothing in what she would have called a strip tease just for her... her boyfriend exuded that naturally sexy confidence like an alpha should.. he allowed that moon cast that light upon his caramel flesh. That shift took him, seamlessly as they seemed to allow the familiar easy change into their animal. Tetradore was a pleasure to watch shift into his beast form, into the predator she knew he was, his striking green eyes seemed to glow within the darkness he could have blended in with if not for the moon's vivid light. His mouth parted, allowing those powerful gleaming canines to show. Whoever thought lions were the king of the jungle clearly hadn't seen her man, in that very moment.

How that full moon affected her immensely, drawing out the woman's more playful urges. Her golden eyes shifted away from her pack. Tobias and his familiar spotted form. Raven and her unique silvery patterns upon a black coat, and Tetradore who seemed to be at the very nucleus of their world. The panther had already broken away from the group as if surveying the land, his watchful senses picking up the most minute sounds that occurred around them as that conversation shifted to where they intended to run. To her it hardly mattered. Tobias was quick to offer his opinion on the matter as Tetradore remained stoically quiet, allowing the trio to decide amongst themselves. Mira commented that the leopard had spoken, which caused the spotted cat to chant it over and over as if the words appealed to him beyond any reason.

Good then, it was decided... well enough anyways. After all, those animal instincts overrode such plans.

Mira sprang forward, first with those powerful legs to project her toward Tetradore, stealing but a playful moment he reciprocated with a hearty shake of his head... She darted forward like a black bullet into the moonlit forest as her limbs refused to remain still. She did not expect to remain in the lead for long, not when those felines finally decided to move their slow lazy figures to action.

As anticipated Tetradore's long powerful body overtook her, he looked striking in the moonlight, sleek and agile like one of his supercars. Tobias was quick to follow his companion as his second. It was so very tempting to chase after them.. And yet a golden eye seemed to remain ever watchful on the much slower Raven. Mira eased her pace to fall back to join the woman, casually loping beside her with little effort, as her paws thudded softly upon the soft forest earth. All while Tetradore and Tobias soon broke off from the girls.. Their far faster pace had them lost from eyeshot in mere minutes. Fine.. let them do their thing.. Climbing trees and silently stalking their prey. Mira and Raven were left to explore that valley she spoke about. After all, she wouldn't mind seeing the fireflies especially when it was a far more leisure run than the extreme tree climbing course the felines so preferred... running along the treetops that Mira and Raven simply could not mimic in the same fashion. Wolves were not made for climbing trees like their feline counterparts.

Raven drew in close as if seeking for the contact of a familiar packmate, a gentle press of her swollen figure into her own side that Mira gently returned. It was a pity not everyone could be here tonight even though it was sure to happen one day. The jet black wolf form of Mira stopped dead in her tracks, lifting up a single paw, closing her eyes unaware of Raven's anxiety. Mira threw her head to face the moon, putting her entire body into it before she could hardly deny herself that instinctual call. That haunting song came so naturally to her. It was so right to hear her own melody that drew through the night far more than any other creature. A howl was unique to each wolf, Mira's a soulful tune of beautiful notes wavering between several drawn out notes.

It felt good to be alive.

Raven didn't join in right away. But Tetradore did, returning her ethereal call. Oh how it struck the chords of her heart to have that call returned. That was when Raven chimed in, a unique sound she hadn't heard before. It was no longer just a song.. It was a symphony! One that was only.... Enhanced by Tobias trailing yowl as the wolves' notes trailed off. What a piercing sound unique to Tobias carried and bounced off the trees that sent several animals fleeing.. Birds took off from their once peaceful roost as if ... faced with some threat. A canine laugh huffed beyond the threshold of her ebony lips, her paw lowered, eyes opened as she peered at Raven with a mischievous gleam. It didn't get much better than this..

Soon after they were met by a serene silence.

The pair of wolves continued on their own mission, further away from their feline counterparts. Mira sighed, a sound of complete contentment as Raven guided them to where those fireflies were supposed to be.

Fireflies so reminded her of flickering stars. "I don't see them.. Are you sure we are close?" Mira questioned, her companion, tilting her head to cast her a sidelong look, the pair of women having traveled for at least a half an hour and she was... certain they should have seen some by now.

That was when she heard it.. Distantly... a sound that sparked alarm. That scent of others carried off downwind, they were careful.. Cautious in their pursuit of the two women, alerted to them the moment Mira howled.

"Hide.." Mira told Raven, the edge of panic oozing to the surface. "Something's not right." But she wasn't entirely sure of that threat level. Mira desperately attempted to evaluate her surroundings, scenting the air with her nose that rarely ever failed her.. It was faint, it was easy to miss it before.. They were close.. Too close..

It was too late. She was not even offered a few precious moments to figure out they were not alone before a blur appeared. Several in fact, all bursting forward. In a trained single minded pursuit to take them down. They clearly did this before. "Is that them?" One of the vampires asked but it was impossible to see who it came from.. The blur of shapes began to appear. Mira was unsure where to look.

Oh shit. Oh no.. this was not good.. How did she not sense them? "Run Raven NOW!" Mira all but yelled in her mind.. "Get Tetradore.. Get Tobi.. quick get out of here and get help... just.." How quickly that lava responded to her panic... before a vampire crashed into her like a sledgehammer or a freight train that knocked the very breath from her lungs. A piercing yelp escaped her unbidden before she crumpled to the ground. Raven at the forefront of Mira's mind.. But.. she'd only seen stars as her fur began to melt into molten, the glowing lava cracks slowly began to surface when suddenly there was a bizarre pressure and darkness... it was heavy, so very heavy and it burned.. Hell it burned! It was one of the most painful things she had ever known... like that trap upon her leg but so much worse. Whatever it was clung to her body like she was a magnet for it.

How that lava... one of her defences abandoned her as that choking, blinding agony exploded upon the surface of her skin, that silver chainmail blanket making such short work of her as it all but covered her completely. Suffocating her. It hurt.. It hurt.. It.. was the only thing she could think of.. That scalding pain that ate her flesh, the smell of burning, her own flesh was all she could sense save for the commotion, the loud sound of voices and someone cried out " I fucking got the bitch!!" The unfamiliar voice bellowed out triumphantly. "When she passes out.. I'm going to drain her. God that was TOO easy. They didn't even sense us.. I can't believe these two brought down the whole ware-" He was silenced and struck by the red-headed vampire with a heavy thud, the supposed leader of that group snapped, silencing the other... How many were there? 3? Maybe 4? Mira strained to hear and yet... it was useless... fighting a battle of remaining awake and trying to shed that horrible chainmail dug into her mercilessly.

"Shut up you blasted idiot.... Someone get the other one... She is slow, it shouldn't be hard.. Keep your wits about you.. Weres are like cockroaches.. If there is one or two.. There are definitely more about. If you can't capture them.. Then kill them. I don't care, they killed my brother. I am going to make this one pay for it.. She is mine." The memory of it seemed to anger the vampire more if that were even possible. She could already imagine his face contorted with that ugly rage.

Mira heard his heavy footsteps approach, having just cleared her head from that awful silver blanket... She saw him looming over her weakened body, his head framed by the moon, his boots trampled the crispy singed grass around her.. Mira was helplessly pinned to the ground, unable to lift her head, or lick the dirt that peppered her nose.

Everything.. Seemed far away. Everything felt wrong...

A sharp high pitched bark-whine escaped her when suddenly a heavy steel-toed boot kicked her hard in the ribs.

"... help Raven.. I don't think they got her...there is trouble.. In the valley.." Her mind... reached out for Tetradore but even then the signal felt weak.. She wondered vaguely if she could even reach him at all. "Vamp....ires." It wasn't much to go off of.. But it was better than nothing.
