South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Malia always liked how down to earth and laid back Henry was. Where she was ninety to nothing, he was always relaxed and logical. Guess that's what made him her safe place to land. He grounded her. The woman smiled as Henry held open the door for her, giving him a smirk before she walked into the reptile house. The minute she got inside, however, her nose wrinkled up and she sniffed the air. "Wow...you guys stink." Following her friend's gaze, Malia stepped over to look at the snake with him, though she was more about listening as he sighed before admitting he still wasn't happy as she'd like him to be. Her lips scowled as he brought up Sterling. Her heart broke for him all over again every time he brought up the man who left. "I'm sorry." She murmured softly, her brown eyes genuine. The WerePanther admitted he didn't spend a lot of time on the new Ark and she nodded. "Understandable."

When she couldn't help it anymore, Malia turned to throw her arms around him. She expected him to tense up, so not used to being shown the affection he deserved, but she couldn't help her overwhelming need to comfort him when he was sad. She buried her head in his side, not caring if he hugged her back, just needing him to feel not so alone, at least for a minute or two. "I've got an extra den in the woods if you need a place to stay." She mumbled after a little bit, though she didn't really expect him to take her up on it. He never seemed as comfortable in his animal form as she was. Of course, he had his reasons.
