South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

He stares at me blankly as I ask about the vendor man, as if he doesn't understand why tackling him to the ground was so wrong. I bet he's taken out more than his fair share of people and while stealing is something I understand without question, I've never had to hurt someone to get what I desire. I scowl and ask him why he did it, anger simmering in my chest to think of this man's family and how they would miss him, all for some stupid cold stuff we don't even understand. Tobi still stares before he seems to get agitated and instinctively my body tightens, ready to escape if he moves to attack. Finally he points at the man's chest and says that he's sleeping, his words drawing my own gaze to the man's chest and I heave a sigh of relief as I see it moving up and down. He's not dead, then. I nod in understanding, my anger falling away just as quickly as it had come, eager to let the subject drop now that I know he's okay. My eyes are almost apologetic now as they glance shyly up at Tobi, not wanting him to be mad at me for asking since he's one of the few friends I have. He doesn't think on it too long though, brushing past me to head for the cart so I sigh and follow after him.

He asks me about the ice cream and I shrug, just as unaware of how to eat it as he is. Suddenly he sees something like a spoon in the container and grabs for it while I watch in curiosity. Raven has shown me spoons and forks and such as far as eating though I'd much rather just eat with my hands like I always have. Still, she assures me that eating with such instruments is the civilized thing to do, especially in public. I try to abide by it but it's rather surprising to me that Tobi of all people would grab for the utensil instead of just using his hands. He scoops up some of the cold stuff and brings it to his lips while I watch, eyes widened in shock to see what's going to happen next. As he licks at it, he seems delighted with himself, telling me that's how you eat it before he reaches out the scoop to me. I take it with some hesitation, glancing at him for reassurance before I mimic his actions and lick at the ice cream. It's so cold! I almost drop the scoop in my surprise as a cold shiver runs down my back. I look at Tobi, wondering how he was able to eat it with almost no reaction before I lick at it again. The flavor is so sweet. It's pretty good! I give him a smile to let him know I like it.

Before I know it, he's eating it with his hands as I had figured he would from the beginning and then he grabs the whole container out and drags it over to the tree. I watch at first, scoop still being held absently in my hand, before he motions for me to follow and I obediantly hurry over. He sits down in front of the container and starts eating, obviously delighted with himself so I sit down a few feet from him and keep licking at the ice cream in my scoop. After a few minutes, it starts dripping like liquid from the scoop and in a slight panic, I try to catch all the droplets with my tongue, trying to lick it up faster as it just keeps creating more. I look at Tobi, wondering if he's having any of the same issues but then he warns me about someone named Birdie and I ask him in curiosity who that is. He seems frustrated with me and my shoulders slump submissively, not sure how I have angered him this time. Finally he explains and the minute he says Raven's name, my face lights up in understanding.

"Oh!"

I'm happy to know who he's talking about now though I don't understand why he doesn't seem to like calling her by her name. Who decided to call her Birdie? Was it him or her? His next words make me scowl, the droplets falling from my spoon temporarily forgotten as I tilt my head. He wants her all to himself? Like I can't hang out with her anymore? Then who's going to be my friend and roommate and teach me how to defend myself? Who's going to understand my past? I bite my lip as my eyes sadden. At his question, I speak softly.

"She's my roommate and friend. She was the first person I met here and she's taught me everything I know about living here. She's the closest thing I have to pack. Why can't I spend time with her too?"

I look at him, practically sulking. How can he decide who I can and can't hang out with? And of all the people, why her? She told me she would never leave me. She told me we'd always been friends. Does she know that he doesn't want to share?
