South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

at the end of the game, the king and the pawn return to the same box

Betrayed by the people he had devoted his loyalty, resources, and essentially his life to, Spencer was quite lost on what his next action should be. He had dedicated over a decade to those people and their ilk, now he lost his home, spells, and few friends he had collected. He knew he should be furious, he should be hell-bent on revenge, but instead he was simply lost. He fled to the nearest city that was big enough to hide him, one filled to the brim with supernaturals, but he was still quite unsure of where to go about starting. Well, he figured he had to start somewhere, so he focused first on finding lodging. Unfortunately that meant he had to trade thirty dollars for a... ten dollar motel room.

He stood in the doorway, brow pulled into a disgusted scowl as he stared at the room he had actually exchanged currency for. His nose wrinkled and he found himself wishing he had no sense of smell too because mold wasn't really a smell to write home about. He was half tempted to simply burn the joint down for the health of the city. Shaking his head, he ventured further in the room, kicking some trash from the previous attendant out of his way. Thorough cleaning staff, he mused bitterly as he dropped his bag in the lonely chair. He began peeling off clothes, deciding to brave what was surely to be abysmal water pressure in the shower. So long as it didn't bleed brown water on top of everything else...

The shower was less than refreshing however it had given Spencer time to mull over what his actions should be first. First, he was going to go for a walk. Second, he was going to find a way to contact his old connections and restock his supplies because he was useless without them. Third, it would be time to pay Davante a visit. This was his city after all and if there was anyone that would know of someone who may need Spencer's talents, it would be him. Even if Dav could be... difficult... at times. Tonight he would focus on just trying to get to know his way around the city and avoid spending too much time in this damned room. He pulled a coat on as he swung the door shut behind, not paying much attention whether or not the damn thing was locked. It wasn't like he had anything of value to steal, that was why he was in this shithole until he was able to reclaim his belongings.

Eventually Spencer wound up in the park, unsure of what drew him here since typically he wasn't an outdoorsy type person. Hands in his pockets, he sniffed the cold air, a frown tugging at the corners of his mouth, before he walked further along the trails. Then- there, that's what drew him here. The frown that had been gracing his features slowly drew into a half smile, his eyes studying the tree with the utmost respect and a touch of glee. The Weeping Beech, in all its splendor, was truly something to admire. The one in this city was far superior to the one in his hometown, absolutely in every way. He reached up to a run his fingertips along a lower branch then the trunk. Finally, a moment of peace. Grunting, Spencer lowered himself to the ground, having to adjust and arrange his leg as he made himself comfortable, head leaning back against the bark.

He closed his eyes, fingers tracing shapes into the ground around him, tiny little symbols of a very basic protection spell. It was more just to alarm him if anything... furry... came his way. Then again, if something did, he might be forced to light it up for trespassing on sacred grounds. No damn respect these days.
