South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hold on to this lullaby; even when the music's gone

It was as if the world had turned over, assaulting her senses with names and faces and smells that Claire could turn in any direction, and there the assailing new people would be. Though skittish by nature, the inclusion of so many innovative things had sent Claire reeling into a spiral of confusion and uncertainty, thickening her skittish tendencies. It had only been so recently that her father had wanted to expand beyond their family, adding non-familial pack members to their rapidly growing group. The young woman had never met so many new people in her life, and yet suddenly every moment was filled with a new name, or a new face to remember. The snow played between the pads of her feet, soaking through the fur that was intended to keep her warm. The chill seeped through her coat like a bone-freezing wind, causing her fur to stand on end. Though her fur had puffed a decent amount Claire's body tensed as if to fight the frigid feeling, as if shrinking smaller than her seven, or eight pound body might give J ack Frost cause to send his snow and wind elsewhere.

While freezing and generally uncomfortable, the appearance that Claire was smaller than a feline often worked to her advantage as those noticing her generally didn't have cause to worry by the white furball that could just as easily be mistaken as a small dog, as it might be for an adorable fluffy fox that the girl shifted into. And while the raw, dead animal's scent had already begun to leak into her nostrils, Claire sighed in satisfaction as it reminded her that the animalistic part of her was still in-tact as safely and strongly as it always had been, regardless of the newness of her surroundings and life. Had Claire begun to rely solely on food that stated her humanistic desires, she felt as if she would have lost touch with this side of her life and somehow, lost a part of her that was far more special than that of her biped form. The ability to consume the raw animal allowed her to fully embody the vulpine that had overcome her, feeling that it was an affinity to which all were-animals were delighted in, enjoying what their true were-animal instincts offered them

At the suggestion that she should stay, Claire tilted her head gently as if encouraged by this offer. There was nothing she needed to say to make the feline believe she would cower off, and so instead the girl felt her body relax some â€" just slightly. "I have a pack," Claire insisted, though her words were wrought with confusion. This woman's brother was the only alpha in the city? What did that mean for Frost? Silently, the questions began to swirl and encourage Claire to pick up the vole between her teeth and trot along side the woman in order to meet this fox that she had mentioned also existed in the city. Another fox? The idea was exciting, though potentially petrifying as Claire realized it was yet another being she had to meet. Another face, another name... Unintentionally, her teeth sank further into the vole, though that didn't stop her mental reply. "With my pack!" She stated, her eyes brightening at the idea that the city might not be a cold, lonely place after all.
