South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Breathing the name, of a foreigner's God

I only knew her for the yearly slain;
and wept and weep until she comes again

It was not as if there was much in this world that resembled that of the world Anubis had been born into. Centuries and millennia spanned the time between her human form and its bare feet upon ancient Egyptian sand and the cold ground beneath her boots now; quite obviously, the weather and locale weren't the only things that had changed within the eras. Adaptation was not impossible, no, but Anubis had found the differences between the continents, between the populations, and between the years difficult to fathom if only because she preferred the time where she existed as a human being. Even if that meant relinquishing her supernatural abilities. Such a woman was bred to rid the earth of the viral creatures spawned by some kind of demonic force; she would manage this feat with her own hands if her aesthetic affinities ceased to exist.

Manifesting said ability now, Anubis felt the foreign lips turn upwards into what could be described as a smile of patience and understanding. This man was familiar due to obligations with the Council, but besides those obligations the huntress knew nothing of him save for a tall tale or two woven by the mouths of the inferior hunters who the Council coerced into it's servitude. With the man's disguise, Anubis quietly assessed the targets that existed only so far off; was this supposed to be a job that required two hunters? The magic resonating inside the figure of the man was enough to let the huntress know he was of a different time, too. He had the essence of time woven all over his skin with it's electrical impulses gently pulsating towards her. Oh, it was clear he wasn't like the other hunters she'd met. No, not at all. Even wearing skin mirror-like to his own, Anubis could feel the longevity of the bodily visuals she borrowed.

"Your straightforwardness is refreshing," Anubis said, her voice a gentle lull beneath the wind that whipped through the park. Whether or not he chose to accept whatever it was her answer might form into remained to be seen, but Anubis felt briefly amicable to what might be mistaken for friendly conversation between the two. Instead of allowing her form to remain alike to his, the huntress shed his skin like the dead scales of a snake and returned her gaze from his ... what were they, greek? Features towards the outlines of the bodies that were supposedly their targets. "You know, I'm loathe to say I would side with the Council yet I cannot really claim I'm here to befriend you, either." Her words held a similar tone to his, deadpan and void of emotion. They may have agreed on the status of the Council, but in reality that truly didn't mean much of anything. It neither revealed any information about either one, nor did it satisfy Anubis' curiosity.

"In another life," Anubis began offhandedly, her voice intonated with a wry lilt. "I might have wondered whether or not you were a King. Most men hold themselves proudly... but you hold yourself like you aren't proud, but deserving. And truthfully, I'm not all that concerned with the kitty or the corpse."
