The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It doesn't take much to convince me to run for my life. I'll all about a fight but I know when the odds aren't in my favor and today is one of those days. My side is killing me and I know it's going to bruise. I may actually have Caesar worried about me when I get back to the pack. But for now, I have to deal with the fact that none other than the panther has stepped in as my savior. As he pushes his shoulder into me, I know what he's asking and I don't have to be asked twice. I turn on my heels and run as fast as I can, clenching my jaws against the pain of my side. With every stride, I feel my confidence soaring. I've always loved to run. But I can't totally ignore the pain in my side. It's throbbing by the time I come to a stop, my tongue lolled out as I pant, taking short shallow breaths as I try not to think about the pain. When he catches up, my hair instantly stands at attention, more in warning than anything because I can already feel the way he's looking at me. I hate the idea of pity and I will surely attack him if he even thinks to offer me something for the pain. I'm used to hiding my pain. In the pack, you hide your pain or you fall before it and everyone sees you as weak. I have never been weak and I refuse to ever be weak. He takes a seat and I feel myself relax if only a little. At least he's not going to come closer. I can't help the question I find myself able to throw at him and I know instantly that he heard me. So I guess I'm not so bad at this interspecies conversation as I thought. But his answer is anything but informative. I scowl at him, my brows furrowing. "There's nothing interesting about me. I'm just a coyote with bad luck when it comes to bears." I say through the panting and heaving. I finally take a seat, cringing as I do so. I'm going to have to rest after this. The pack will have to go through trash cans or something for food until then since apparently they don't know how to hunt without me. |
