The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.
The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. He was right about him being there. Like some wolf, slowly watching as the deer struggled to fight. He got off on the thrill of it. Anyone who did this certainly does. This was all a game. Life and death mean nothing. Pleading and truces are jokes. Darien had nothing to left do. If he continued to run, it would only amuse the man. Darien might live a few minutes longer in that scenario, but there was no pride in that for himself. To be some story this asshole could tell all his other psycho friends about the 'fairy boy who ran and ran and cried and begged.' Just thinking about that possibility makes Darien even more angry. But then again the 'fairy boy who actually thought he stood a chance and tried to fight' sounded no better. Just a little, but not by much.
It makes him want to try the least cowardly way, if he was to go. Standing and fighting instead of running sounded more appropriate.
Seeing the man agree and put away his damn little light, Darien takes in a deep breath and stands as straight as he can. In an instant, for that silly second he thought he'd have some honor, he's met with a punch that was like lightning to the right of his cheek. It was the most painful thing he'd ever felt, even compared to that arrow across the face and the cut on his calf. It must have been amplified because he punches right where that cut was, and while it had been starting to clot, now little droplets start to ooze forward again in random places along the wound. His cheek swells up red. The strength of this stranger is something thin and fragile Darien is no match against.
The world spins, his ears ring, his teeth throbbed, he falls back slightly into the water onto his knees and hands, fighting not to blackout. Darien can see his reflection in the dark water, and he sees what he needed to. He can see the fear in his eyes, the pain but also the courage and the stubbornness ... He stands up and when he looks over at the man, he starts to chuckle. He takes the couple steps to get his feet out of the water and stand on the muddy, rocky banks again, the sting from the cold numb compared to what pain he was feeling elsewhere. He's breathing so heavily that the river is drowned out.
A smirk is on his lips.
His blue eyes are bright. As bright as the coolest of glacier ice. He stares at the man, defiantely. Not broken, but not beaten ... not yet. "I'm more man than you." His voice is strong, but it's still fragile if you listened closely. He steps a little bit closer to the Hunter. "I don't kill others simply for not being human. I've never killed anyone or done a fucking thing to you!. You're not human! You should go kill yourself after you're done with me, you FUCK!" Darien has slowly been trying to close the gap between he and this man the entire time. When he's as close as he feels he needs to be (which was too close no matter what), his hand reaches out and attempts to touch the man's arm. In a last ditch effort, Darien tries to use his gift on him. Maybe it would disorient him? Give Darien a chance to escape? Lord knows this guy needed to be calmed more than any other person he'd ever met! Induce serenity. "Whatever you've been taught, I feel sorry for you." And with that being said, Darien then turns around, and jumps as far out into the fast moving river as he can, as fast as he can.
He didn't expect it to be as cold as it was, and it actually hurts like hell. He's forced to take in several deep gasps from it. He looks back before taking in one large breath and going under the waters. Any logs or rocks that aren't visible, well, he was willing to risk being hit by them. He'd stay down here, for as long as he could hold his breath, go up to see where that man was and go back under. His plan? Try to ride the river for as long as possible. It could take him faster than his own feet could. Was it a good plan? No. But it was better than having beaten to death. There was still that off chance he'd be evaporated by the guy's light power, or have an arrow in the back. Hell, even the river might end up killing him, but Darien wasn't going to up!
Under the water, holding his nostrils closed, feeling the rush and pull of the water, he just replies the last thing he saw before going under. That blonde man, standing there at the banks, more animal than human.
