South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Maeve was the star 'tour guide' taking Edie to the market. Only one of her other friends spoke relatively broken English so it left Maeve as the translator. Especially when it came to arriving at the market which was packed with vendors of fabric, wood carvings, food, and the haggles of the crowd. Maeve guided Edie expertly and made good on her notion of getting Edie into tradition clothes lest she burn into a crisp and also help her blend a bit more in order to not get stared at so much. They remained in the market for only two hours before making the hour trek back to the village.

Kato was with a few of the children and other men just outside of the circle of huts marking the beginning of the village when Edie returned. A broad smile graced his features, setting down the sack of soft grasses he had in order to capture Edie in his arms when she flung herself into him. He was dirt streaked and heated to the touch from working under the rising sun but held little care for Edie being displeased at him hugging her while dirty. Her excitement was refreshing to see after feeling like she was having a hard time coming with him. He understood his it was very much a culture shock for her so had been trying to just let her adjust at her own pace. "I'm glad you liked it." He chuckled softly, glancing down at her outfit when she pulled away so he could see her at length. "You look beautiful." Kato cast a sideways questioning glance towards his sister who had finally caught up to them. He hadn't expected Edie to come back dressed in traditional garb. Maeve returned Kato's gaze with a narrowed one of her own, "You keep that look to yourself Kato. She was going to burn in her other stuff. I'm not trying to change her."

Kato gruffed slightly, only accepting his sister's answer because he knew she was sassy enough to not lie to him. "Did you get it?" He held out his hand towards Maeve who handed over a small bundle wrapped in cheese cloth. Kato smirked and curled his arm around Edie's waist, pressing a kiss to her temple, "Watch this." He then turned to the children of which Mori and Amare were a part of. "Sharpu!" His shouted caused the children to cease in their play and meander over to the pair. Kato unraveled the cheese cloth to pluck out an off white cube between his fingers, presenting it to the children whose eyes widened up at the object. "A klappery to whoever can bring me back nama." "...Mosa nama? Mmutla?" One of the children questioned, looking very pleased with the offer. Kato nodded before plopping the cube back into the bag. The children smiled and turned on heel, scattering in all directions as they hurriedly darted away to fulfill the quest. Mosi remained in front of Kato holding to Amare's hand, "What about... khunkhwane?" Kato shook his head, "Khunkhwane, bug, isn't a meat. Try to get meercat or a hare like Junto said." "Ok." Mosi smiled and tugged Amare's hand and the two set off in their own direction to search.

It was a rather brilliant idea if he did say so himself. Kato glanced down at Edie with a smirk, offering her the cube back from the pouch when the children weren't there to see anymore. "Klappery? It's a sweet that's pretty rare for them to get. You'll have some meat to eat for lunch now. With a little persuasion the children can be useful. They're quick and might actually be able to find you enough to last a few meals."
