The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

We're gonna rattle this ghost town The Ark's dim light is comforting to Ivy, though she does not know the reason why. She also does not know why she feels the need to open up to the two women before her. It could as easily be the fact that she simply need to get the weight of her baggage off of her chest as it being the real interest the two have in her, treating Ivy like an actual living being. Sam smiles at her as Raven takes in the scene, Ivy had been confused as to why the werewolf is present until she realizes the canine might be there for protection. The girl feels a pinch of hurt in her gut, do they believe she will attack? The emotion passes quickly as Ivy focuses on Samantha's words. The other fairy seems upset when she correctly draws the conclusion that Ivy was not, in fact, born into their kind. She shakes her head back and forth quietly. The pinch in her stomach returns, though this time with anxiety. She does not know if a natural-born fairy is somehow higher up on the social ladder, or if the fairy in front of her has something against those like Ivy. It's not like Ivy had a choice to become what she did, it was forced upon her. But that can't be right, the strange fairy's voice sounds soft when she questions Ivy, not harsh at all. She tries to keep her mind on the conversation at hand, not on that autumn night several years ago, but the effort only goes so far. Memories of Neal flash in front of Ivy's eyes, of both before and after her kidnapping. He had been so kind, he made her feel like she belonged. Ivy, a junior in high school at the time, had easily fallen in love with him. Neal claimed to be a senior from a neighboring school district, though now she knows he could have been generations older than her. Ivy's skin prickles with panic as she remembers the pain reverberating through her body as she legally died. The thought of her past boyfriend's betrayal isn't something she enjoys. Her negative feelings are put at ease when Sam mentions she had gone through a similar experience. She had begun to believe she was being pitied, and if there is anything Ivy dislikes more than betrayal, it's being pitiful. But it isn't pity, instead perhaps a sense of empathy. Instantly, Ivy's respect for the other fairy rises significantly. The situation they've both been through is incredibly barbaric and cruel, yet they made it with their mind intact. Even more, Sam had not gone into hiding from anyone who may care, which was a tactic used by Ivy when she first ran off on her own in order for her to believe her dignity could still exist. She wants to say something, she really does, but her throat is too dry to speak. Movement at the corner of her eye catches her attention and she turns her gaze to Raven, who had almost magically shifted into a human form. She is prettier than Ivy had expected, mostly due to the fact that Ivy did not know what she should have expected. She notices scars crossing over the shifter's skin and face as the woman covers her arms in a way that makes Ivy believe the woman must be self-conscious of them. Raven has obviously been through rough times, and somehow it makes Ivy like her even more than before. What Raven says, however, makes Ivy slightly uncomfortable. Sure, the girl would love to know more about what she is, but somehow she knows others may not be as... welcoming as Samantha seems to be. What Samantha responds with causes curiosity to spark within Ivy, fairies have monarchies? With queens and such? The concept carries a medieval tone to the girl, she's fascinated by it. "So... all the fairies have to listen to the queen or king or whoever is in charge? Even if they don't particularly like it? Have all the, uh, old monarchies died away?" She thinks back to all the history books she's read and modern mythical movies she's seen, the monarchies are always ruled by a single family that has been in charge for centuries. No wonder there aren't any around today, surely something similar would be hard to control what with democracy an all. Then again, this were pack appears to be doing just fine. Fairy .. 21 ..
