Without the link of the pack bond, the faerie girl had absolutely no way of knowing exactly what was going on. She knew nothing about Raven's weakness, nor that the actions of the Alpha panther were being used to show any kind of dominance over the wolf. No, the faerie girl could only see the whimpering of the wolf she knew as Raven. Raven, who was proving to be a close friend. Raven, who was clearly hurt and terrified. The terror of the wolf was what had caused the girl to propel herself forward, colliding with the feline form of her boyfriend. The girl couldn't help but flinch at the growl that came from him, though it didn't stop the shove that she gave at him until he released her - or as much as it seemed he was willing to do. She could feel his eyes on her as she knelt to pet Raven's head, though he seemed utterly unaffected by it. Or at least, he did until she let her power work to calm the woman. She could feel those few precious seconds where her power was effective, providing the feral wolf with that soothing calm. But her hold over the woman was broken the instant the growl came from her boyfriend. Her eyes flashed up just as his jaw lunged towards her hands. With a yelp, the girl hurled herself backwards, falling flat on her bottom as she looked up at the man in utter terror. "Aiden!"
She'd barely rose to her feet before Tobi pressed himself between her and Raven. For one hopeful second, the faerie thought that he would stop the insanity that was occurring in front of her. But no, with the growls that reverberated from his form, it was clear that he was attempting to stop her. "Tobi..." Her voice came out a tiny, breathless whisper. She didn't get a chance to finish though before the feeling of fear seemed to slam into her. It came from Raven first, then Tobi, before that overwhelming sensation came from within herself. She'd seen Aiden's affinity once before when he'd attempted to scare of the Hunter that had attacked her outside the burlesque. Using it on her then had been an accident, but this time... this time it was intentional. He didn't make her see anything this time. No, this time was just the fear of him. The fear to question him, the fear to go against him. The fear that he could harm her and that he would if she went against him.
The bite that was given to the clearly surrendered wolf was the last straw, the faerie woman absolutely needing to get away from Aiden. She wanted to flee the Ark entirely, but that would require going closer to Aiden, and that fear was still very real and very, very present. No, in order to get away from him and that fear, she would have to run further into the Ark. But there was nothing but terror and the need to flee inside the girl. She turned abruptly on her heels and back towards the stairs she had descended from not that long ago. Without thinking even about it she headed towards the stairs that Aiden had shown her not that long ago, the ones that led up to the deck of the ship. The girl pressed herself against the heavy door, shoving it open before she made it into the cool evening air.
The Aiden Tetradore that existed downstairs simply did not match up with the image that the faerie girl held of him within her own mind. He had always been remarkably sweet to her. Always kind, always willing to help her or hold her or whatever she needed. She could still picture the smile that seemed to settle on his sleeping features when she curled next to him at night, or the way he gave her that tiny squeeze when he hugged her. None of that matched up with the downright cruel creature that existed downstairs. She realized that she had been the target of Raven's harm, but even that didn't warrant the fear he instilled in her, the way he had almost killed her. Or even worse, the way he had snapped at Samantha herself and inflicted that fear on her in turn.
She was unaware of how long she had been on the deck alone when she heard the sound of footsteps on the metal stairs behind her. She knew, instantly, who it would be. The emotions within her seemed to clash against each other. On one hand, she wanted to kill him and make him leave her alone. On the other, he was the person that she went to for comfort, and she sure as hell was upset. But the first part of her seemed to win out, the girl very tense as her fists clenched. "How could you?" The voice she spoke in was not the calm, kind Samantha that she so often used when talking to him. No, this was different. This was the cold wrath of a faerie queen, one who had watched her friend be wronged. "She didn't know what she was doing. She surrendered. And you made her feel... and you made me feel..." The sudden surge of anger that came over her begged to be calmed, to be reigned in. But no, the faerie girl allowed the explosion of her anger and her power, sending cracks down the center of the wooden crates to either side of her. Slowly, the woman turned, the rage and betrayal evident on her features as she turned to face her boyfriend. "How could you do that to me?"
