The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.
Bartender Raylin Chike
Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

Raven is nice enough to let me have a moment of silence to let everything sink in. She must know tht I've got a lot on my mind. I close my eyes for a brief moment, telling myself that I'll get past it somehow, that I'll accept what I've done and know that it's for the best. While it certainly wasn't ideal, it came down to them or me and I chose me. The weird thing is that I have always put others before me in my thoughts because I never thought I was worthy of anything but when it came down to life or death, I didn't hesitate. Something in me decided to fight back that day when the chase came to a close. I know that Raven probably tells herself something like that too, that she had to choose between their lives and hers and she chose to live. No one can fault her for that. I know she has been trying to make up for her crimes being with the Nightshade pack. She patrols the borders like its second nature and is a good loyal pack member. I'm sure Tobias and the others are proud. The thought of Tobias makes my nose twitch. My last memory of him was when he shot a harpoon gun at me on that dock. I don't know if he was meaning to aim elsewhere but it landed right by where I was standing. I will have my answers someday and know if Tobias wants me dead and why. As I wipe angrily at my eyes, I hear her foot steps coming closer and I look up at her, sniffling. I tense up at first, instincts kicking in as my fingers twitch but as her arms close around me, I know this foreign touch is a hug and it is a good thing. My body is already reacting to it, softening and relaxing as my own arms draw back around her in return. My lips tug into a soft smile as I close my eyes and rest my chin on her shoulder, savoring the moment. I listen to her murmured words, knowing that yes, he did manipulate me. He's apparently pretty good at that. She tells me to warn Nadya and I wonder to myself if the headstrong girl would listen even if I tried. She tells me that I am forgiven and I breathe out a sigh of relief to hear it. She tells me that he will hurt me again and my lips tighten. She's probably right. Now that he knows I'm back, what will he try to do to me now? I'm not the same weak fox that left Sacrosanct. I can defend myself and more than that, I have the will to fight back. I clench my fists for a moment but sigh and look at Raven as I step back. "You're right. He won't stop until he gets what he wants. I'll go with you, but I don't think your pack will like me since the last time they saw me, I was with him." |
