West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

kissing death and loosing my breath

In truth, Serafina scarcely had any real notion of what she was doing half of the time with her own affinities. For as long as she had discovered her ability to commune with the dead, she had simply ignored them. It was as if simply recognizing their presence somehow made the witch different from others. For so long she had failed to fit in not only with the mortals during her vagabond life but too with her own witch kind when her affinities had failed to blossom for such a dreadfully long time. It was almost worse to her that her first real gift should be to speak with those beyond that thin veil of life. There was nothing glorious about this, nothing flashy, and indeed if she ever did make an effort to show it off, she'd likely have been regarded as little more than a hoax. For all the confidence that she so pretended to hold, there was a certain level of self-doubt that still gripped so icy at her heart. This, was perhaps her turning point. This was but a show of everything that could and surely would happen if she continued upon the path that she had so steadfastly strove with. Ignoring that which was occurring around her was no longer an option for the young witch. It was time to hone her skills, to better them, and, in turn, to accept that which she was.

What she hadn't expected, however, was for her acceptance to include her own death by slobber. A groan left her lips at the sensation of that tongue up and down her cheeks though the young witch hardly let it perturb her much as she focused her thoughts instead upon the ghosts that so haunted her. It took far longer than she cared to admit to so banish those ghosts from her immediate vicinity, their corporeal bodies slowly fading from existence until Serafina was left with but herself and the large lupine in her lap. A large sigh left her lips as she finally leaned back upon the wooden floors. This was decidedly exhausting, so utilizing her affinities in ways that she had never done before. She found herself entirely unable to ignore the yawn that came to her lips, her hand lightly waving away the bark that left the parted maw of her companion. What she hadn't expected though, was the way in which the wolf quite literally allowed the entirety of her weight onto Serafina's petite form. "Oomph!" The girl uttered, her breath momentarily leaving her before she reached forward, struggling to push the wolf off of her. "Raven! Raven get off." She cried out, trying to push away the assaulting tongue as she fruitlessly tried to push the dog off.

Thankfully, her efforts were rewarded not soon after as the wolf began to raise off of her on her own accord. "Jesus." She grumbled to herself, reaching down to rub her stomach where the majority of Raven's weight had gone. Having a large dog was exactly as unenjoyable as she had thought it would be the very first evening that she had brought Raven home. Still, it was a sound coming from the kitchen that drew Serafina's attention, the girl immediately jumping to her feet before making her way to the kitchen only to find her bread upon the floor half gone. "RAVEN." Her voice was decidedly sharp as she closed the distance between the herself and the lupine. "BAD." She reached down, smacking the wolf hard upon the nose before, quite fearlessly, she pulled the bread from the wolf's mouth and equally in front of her. "You don't just go taking food that isn't yours! What if I had wanted to DO something with it?!" A growl left her throat as she turned to put her bread back on the counter. "Maybe if you're good, I'll get you something better for you to eat." She muttered, turning around to face her companion with her arms crossed over her chest.
