West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

Truly, while the cookies had succeeded as a distraction from the game that he had been playing, her intentions with the sweets were entirely separate. It had been so long since the couple had been alone together. Their last meeting had been on that night that he'd come in from her fire escape, and ever since then the young Faerie Queen had remained entirely worried about her boyfriend. She'd never seen the man be so terrified and so wholly not himself. The thoughts that her power had been able to see within his thoughts to all the horrors that he had been subjected to within his youth. She was worried, so entirely so, about the young man. The cookies that she'd awarded him with were meant to be a gift to the man. A way to show her concern. That she might get some time alone with him was an entire bonus. The girl rewarded him with a bright smile as he took a bite of the cookie, happy to watch the way he seemed so pleased with the cookies she had provided him with. The grin only amplified as he teased her. "No more cookies for you, then," She teased, reaching within that container to retrieve one cookie for herself. "Though I'll settle for second. Less pressure that way."

Her inquiry on her own appearance was entirely out of a nervous, self-conscious line of thought. It was not uncommon that she wore skirts and dresses at the burlesque, and yet when she spent time with her boyfriend she dressed considerably more comfortably. And yet despite that, she wasn't opposed to showing her legs in front of her boyfriend. The woman paused as he looked her over, the smile on her features fading as his brow furrowed. But as he assured her she looked fine, she let out a small breath of relief. "I just wanted to look nice for you tonight, that's all," She said, brushing off her nervousness as she slid off the desk, taking his hand as she pulled him to his feet. She stepped in close, her fingers brushing against his neck as she continued to discuss what her intentions were for the evening. The frown that crossed his lips made her pause. "Aiden..." She halted in her words as he spoke, her head shaking.

"Okay," She said brightly, her fingers playing with a lock of his hair as she raised her gaze to meet his eyes. "Aiden, will you go out with me tonight? I want to spend time with you." She looked over at the cookies as she felt that unsettled feeling that he so suddenly had dancing around him. "The cookies weren't a bribe, Aiden. I was teasing with that. I just wanted to do something nice for you, and I know you love sweets." She brushed off the rest of his concerns so readily, presenting him with the options that she had considered for the evening. When he inquired as to which she might prefer, she tilted her head to the side. "Beach, always." She said happily, taking his hand as she stepped around the desk, leading him towards the door. She held his hand tight as she maneuvered her way throughout the Ark, leading them out into the twilight.

It was only when they stepped onto those docks did she look over at the man beside her, a look of concern on her features. "I'm sorry," She said suddenly, squeezing his hand as if to grab his attention. "I didn't mean to make it seem like I was bribing you. I just..." She held his hand a little tighter. "I missed you. I wanted to spend time with you." She bit her lip, so sure that the almost annoyed feeling he'd felt so briefly was one that might set the tone for their night. The empath never failed to notice things that the man felt, and sometimes, it worked to make her overly anxious of her time with him.
