West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Emmy had never been one to purposely invade the privacy of another. Overall, she was a kind soul, one who wanted to live life at it's fullest. She wanted to love and she had found that...until it had been ripped from her. Now her heart ached where Alex had once been. This new place should hopefully offer her closure. Once she found Alex's family, she would be able to hopefully find peace with his passing. But until she found his family, she would have to walk extra carefully because clearly she didn't know one territory from another.

The wolf's words caught her a little bit offguard. She had never been one to share her secret â€" that she was a witch. Alex had known her secret, but she tried very hard not to use her powers because when she did, her eyes would glaze over white. Everyone would know that she was a witch. Honestly, Emerson liked to keep that part of her under lock and key. Not because she was ashamed that she was a witch...but more that she didn't want people looking at her differently. She was just Emmy...not Emmy the witch. Just Emmy. "How did you know I'm a witch?" She didn't understand scents. She didn't realize that others could pick her out so easily. Hand was still poised over the knife. This wolf had some voodoo powers that made her uncomfortable.

The silence filled the space in between them and Emmy just watched the wolf. She still didn't understand how this wolf knew so much about her...without ever knowing her before. But she would keep her questions to herself for now. She didn't want to seem like she was overstaying her welcome by asking too many questions.

The wolf's voice filled the silence of her brain, speaking of the knife that she still held beside her. "I don't know you...this knife is my protection." While she might now have any reason to use the knife, it made her feel safe and that was all that mattered. "I just arrived by boat a few hours ago. I don't know anyone here." What she didn't say was that she needed to find her boyfriend's family. She supposed once she had her closure, she would move on to another place. Emmy had never been one to stay in one play for too long.
