The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.
Bartender Raylin Chike
Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

She kind of liked this dumbfounded look he had going on for him tonight. It was new from the panther she had been hanging out with before, the mighty beast of the jungle who liked to hunt bears with her and chase her over cliffs. Now he was the one dangling on the edge, looking for a reach out, an answer. She could see the confusion in his eyes as he continued to stare at her from across the bar and it only made it more amusing once she got a good whiff of his scent and knew it to be the panther. Of course, she hadn't come across nearly as much of her kind as he had so it wasn't so hard to pinpoint which he was. He had a distinct musk to his scent after all. Must be a cat thing. But as he moved across the bar and stood before her, she coudln't help but laugh once she knew who he was. It was just too humorous to pass up. And to know that he couldn't place her scent just made it that much more hilarious. Otherwise she probably would have just gotten pissed that she was that forgettable to him. Oh well. He scowled and for a minute, she got a serious expression, tilting her head to give him a new look when he said that she'd found her alpha. Her eyes widened and she leaned forward against the table. "You can tell that stuff just by a scent? Oh, you have to teach me that!" She was always eager to learn something new now that she knew for sure what she was. She felt like a kid trying to learn how to walk again and she hated that helpless feeling. Frost was helping with the shifting and such but she knew nothing of how to get intel with her abilities, other than just keen hearing and smell and such. But pack scents? That was new to her. She only knew that each Were seemed to have their own individual scent just like any regular animal, just stronger. Some had a connecting odor, like Henry and this guy but surely she would know if Henry was in a pack right? The guy didn't even want to admit he was a Were for crying out loud! But here he was actually sulking that she'd found an alpha. She raised a brow at him in surprise but his next words threw her off. She tilted her head. "Choose you? Like an alpha or something? Do you even have a pack?" She couldn't help but be skeptical. After all, the way he had approached her was very different from the way Frost had. Whereas Frost was pushy and domineering from the start, the panther had been friendly and forthcoming, if only tolerant of her sarcasm at times. He never tried to assert himself over her and only tried to give her information about what she was and stuff. How was she to know who was an alpha and who wasn't? Now she was confused. She scowled thoughtfully. "So are you and the horse not friends or something? I still have no clue how the pack thing works in this world. Do we fight over territory or something?" She knew how it worked in the animal world. Coyotes ran in packs after all and were territorial creatures. Was that how it was for Were's too? She didn't look forward to having to fight the panther, if so. She actually kinda liked him. Plus he had majorly big claws. She had noticed that. When he set his drink down on the table, she wrinkled her nose in distaste of the scent, but she was thoroughly distracted when he leaned forward to sniff her. Sure, she knew she did it sometimes but that was different than having it done to her. Besides, he smelled....rather pleasant. She looked away, trying to distract herself, though she gave him a daring look when he pulled back, looking none too satisfied with whatever he'd smelled. "What? Do I stink or something? I do know how to bathe now." She offered. Then he told her that his drink was called whiskey and she scowled down at the cup. "Stronger? But they don't have muscles." She was thoroughly confused, raising a brow at the cup like it might grow arms or something while she watched. Then he pulled out the chair across from her and sat in it, telling her to speak quieter. She raised a brow at him, even daring to look around them and glaring at the people who were staring too long. Most of them jerked back surprised when caught staring and went back to looking at anything other than her. Shrugging, she glanced back at him and relaxed in the chair. "Maybe. Are we talking about assholes? I don't know what else they're called. Apparently they have another name." That's what Frost had told her anyway, that her version of assholes was more than just the guys who shot her with an arrow and tied her up in the back of a van. She thought that was a good enough title for them. Henry certainly seemed to be sure of it. She smirked when she noticed that he was doing the same thing, glaring at some of the people who were looking in their general direction. It was almost adorable on him. Then he turned back to her, asking about Frost and she scowled. "Twat? Is that also another name for jerk or something? As for being human, it has its perks, I guess. Like I can hold things. See?" She picked up his cup, eager to show someone something she can do since she was so frustrated by her inability to shift on command. At least there are things she can't mess up as a human. She tried to read the panther but he was hard on some things. She could read an air of tension around him every time he mentioned Frost and she wondered if there was history between them. Maybe a friendship gone bad or something? She gently set down the cup and looked at him. "So, go after any bears or jump off any cliffs lately?" |
