West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

The young Japanese girl near clung to that stone wall that stood so resolutely behind her. Those chocolate eyes were still glassy from those earlier tears that had been spilled, her fragile frame was still shaky from that adrenaline rush that seemed to fill her every single time that they entered her cell with their silver tools that burned her flesh and brought screams to her lips. That blood had dried and yet, the stain of red still marred her abnormally white skin. She hadn't eaten in days, that lack of life within her had taken its own toll upon her. Chizue couldn't fight those hollow hopeless feelings within her. Why they had cared of her remained a mystery to the girl, not when she held such little value to them and yet, her pleading and attempts to sway their reason had long ago fallen on deaf ears. Her throat was far too hoarse to try anymore and so, when those softly spoken words finally penetrated that dark silence that had engulfed her, all Chizue could do was stare at that door that kept him out there and her safe in here.

That voice was all too familiar to her, the girl was easily able to place the face with those baritone lyrics. It was as if he was trying to comfort her and yet, Chizue made no effort to respond to him. Even if he was sweet to her, he was still one of them. He still sat by idly while they hurt her. He still watched and heard and did nothing. She listened as he continued to speak to her, her own head leaned back against that wall, that dark ebony hair cascaded around her lithe frame. Regardless of what he said, he earned nothing but silence from her. She was out of hope, out of faith, and frankly, the poor girl was tired. What she wouldn't give for the touch of sunlight on her skin. What she wouldn't give for a release from that hell. A final, true death seemed quite near welcoming. Those somber thoughts filled her mind just as much as that pain did. It was that sudden sound of movement that brought the woman's attention back to the present, her gaze snapped towards that door the moment his palm touched the handle. She could hardly help the way she tensed as he drew open the door and near immediately she pressed herself further against that wall in some effort to escape his touch.

Those chocolate eyes started at him as he sighed, those chains quite suddenly fell from her wrists and ankles, prompting both a glimpse of confusion and a soft sound of relief. Those silver shackles had burned clear marks in her skin from where they had laid for best days, the simple sight of it all was enough to prompt those glassy eyes to begin to water all over again. His touch against her caused her to shy away from him, though truly she had nowhere to go. That assurance that he was here to help her escape prompted a glimpse of dubiousness from her and yet, slowly, her head bobbed. She could walk, at least, she thought she could. The woman hardly put up much of a fight as he led her towards the door of that cell. Even though he told her well of his intentions, without that ability to see those auras, she found herself doubting everything and everyone. It was only once she stepped out if that door that those very colors she had missed so much came rushing back to her view. She continued to trail after the man, her slender arms reached around her petite figure, hugging herself as if to calm herself. That sudden stop in the tunnel caused her gaze to shift quickly towards him. Frankly, it was terrifying to find herself alone. She knew she should go find Isotopes. She shouldn't leave without the woman and yet, she had endured so much already that the risk of being captured again was too much. She might never forgive herself for abandoning her Supreme and yet....Chizue was willing to accept the fact that she was a coward in that moment. "Thank you." Those words were near breathless on her lips as she stumbled forward and down that tunnel, following that path laid out for her.

She could hear their footsteps in nearby pathways and yet, she reached the end of that tunnel unopposed. Chizue was hardly aware of her own newfound affinity at play. Her intense desire to simply be forgotten and unnoticed had manifested in a wall all it's own. She stumbled out onto the cold city streets, unaware of the misty fog that near rolled in behind her. Her slender frame shook slightly, even though her dead figure couldn't feel the cold that caused so many to bundle in plush jackets. Her bare feet padded against the icy sidewalk and yet, not a soul haunted that street she was on. It was as if all human life had simply disappeared where ever the young woman want. Any who had intended to go in her direction somehow found themselves turning around, as if they'd suddenly remembered a better route to take or realized they hadn't wanted to really go that direction at all. Chizue hardly noticed it, however, that solitude and isolation only caused her to feel safe, enough so that those tears quickly sprang to her chocolate eyes and trailed down her cheeks. By the time she reached the familiar sight of her front doorstep, the girl found herself almost unable to go on. She crawled up those steps, only to collapse upon that porch, those sobs wracking her frame in a near hysterical fashion. She had endured so much for so long that now, the poor girl simply fell apart at her first touch of something familiar.
